Chaudary – The Ultimate Want to Be

Where does Chodo get the inspiration for his wild schemes to become Fiji’s President?

The first Asian Indian to become President of a foreign country was Cheddi Jagan of Guyana, the son of ethnic Indian sugar plantation workers and co-founder of the PPP.

Jagan won in a colonially administered election in 1953, but was removed from power militarily by Britain which, under strong behind-the-scenes pressure from the United States and the CIA, asserted that he had ties to the Soviet Union.  Jagan resigned as British Guiana prime minister after 133 days. Britain suspended the constitution and chose an interim government. Jagan’s movements were restricted to Georgetown from 1954-1957.

After a PPP victory in the August 1957 election, Jagan became Chief Minister for a second time, serving for seven years. In the December 1964 election, the PPP won a plurality of votes, but Burnham’s party, the People’s National Congress, and the conservative United Force were nevertheless invited to form the government.
Having broken off links with the increasingly authoritarian Burnham, who divided the country among racial barriers, Jagan was active in the government as a labor activist and leader of the opposition. After 28 years in opposition, he and the PPP won the October 1992 election with about 54% of the vote, and Jagan became President.

Jagan suffered a heart attack in the morning of February 15, 1997 and was taken to Georgetown Hospital before being flown by U.S. military aircraft to Walter Reed Army Hospital in the U.S. capital, Washington DC, later that day.  He underwent heart surgery there and died in Washington on 6 March, 1997.

The current President of Guyana is Bharrat Jagdeo, who assumed office in 1999, and was re-elected in 2006 for another 5 year term.  Politics in Guyana falls along a racial divide, between ethnic Indians and ethnic Africans.  Both groups are non-indigenous, largely descended from labourers brought to work the plantations under colonial administrations.  According to reports, the 2006 re-election of Jagdeo, a member of the Indo-Guyanese majority, caused rioting among the minority Afro-Guyanese, who claimed widespread election fraud.  Unlike Guyana, the racial divisions in Fiji are between indigenous and non-indigenous peoples.

The parallels to Chodo are obvious – first Indian elected leader, descended from sugar cane labourers, British colonial influences, both Jagan and Chodo were deposed, etc.

What is also obvious is Chodo’s desire to join the ranks of Jagan and Jagdeo.  He feels he was cheated of his term as PM.  He will stop at nothing to get it back, with the added bonus of a shot at the Presidency.

Interestingly, Guyana has a huge problem with corruption, and illegal drugs.  The International Narcotics Control Strategy Report says :
“Guyana is a transit point for cocaine destined for North America, Europe, and the Caribbean… More than two years after launching its National Drug Strategy Master Plan (NDSMP) for 2005-2009, the GOG has not effectively implemented it. Cooperation among law enforcement bodies is fragmented and minimally productive; weak border controls and limited resources for law enforcement allow drug traffickers to move shipments via river, air, and land without meaningful resistance. Guyana is a party to the 1988 UN Drug Convention.

Guyana is a transit country for cocaine, and to a lesser degree marijuana. Guyana’s vast expanse of unpopulated forest and savannahs offers ample cover for drug traffickers and smugglers. Government counternarcotics efforts are undermined by inadequate resources for law enforcement, poor coordination among law enforcement agencies, an inefficient judiciary, and a colonial-era legal system badly in need of modernization. Murders, kidnappings, and other violent crimes commonly believed to be linked with narcotics trafficking are regularly reported in the Guyanese media. Guyana produces high-grade cannabis and is not known to produce, trade, or transit precursor chemicals on a large scale.”

Fiji’s position in the centre of the Pacific Ocean makes us an attractive to the illegal drug trade as a potential ‘transit point’.

So, just who is funding Chodopu$$?  And how do they make their money?  What are their plans for Fiji?
We have a right to know.

God bless Fiji

Its been said that twice Chodo gave of himself to build up his adopted nation and twice he got couped. So why bother then, might as well used what’s left of him to tear down this chatee place!

  2. The Fox Says:

Who is funding Chodo?? – Very straight forward – the Indian Diaspora -GOPIO.. They are the ones who are directly responsible. The Indian Government must be held accountable over the Harvana Monies that were sent to Choro until they are proven Not guilty otherwise. Fiji is being targetted now to be another Mauritius where GOPIO had succesfully implemented their complete takeover of the econom y and political leadership very much against the wishes of the indigenes Maurituis.. Bainimarama and his boys from Nabua have basically assisted GOPIO with their 2006 coup and helped the Indian Dream fulfilled in Fiji which had been part of their long term Imperialistic strategy..

  3. FijiGirl Says:

Vinaka The Fox. I did not know that about Mauritius. Researching it, I found Mauritius has a similar problem to Guyana. Following quote is from the CIA World Factbook, found at http://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/mp.html

“Illicit Drugs – Consumer and transshipment point for heroin from South Asia; small amounts of cannabis produced and consumed locally; significant offshore financial industry creates potential for money laundering, but corruption levels are relatively low and the government appears generally to be committed to regulating its banking industry.”

I rule out the possibility that Chodo’s financial backers want to use Fiji as a transshipment point for illegal drugs en route between the Asian continent and Nth / Sth / Central Americas.

Remember when Andrew Hughes was Chief of Police, and he coordinated that massive haul in Laucala Beach Estate? They were making some kind of chemical drugs there and the volumes meant it was obviously destined for export. Well, any drug lord with an eye on manufacture in Fiji would support the regime that got rid of him, the best Chief of Police we’d had in decades.

Chodo – what exactly do you think you’re getting Fiji into?

    God bless Fiji

The snake has always strived for high office. His egotistical ambitions will not accept anything less than PM or President.

  5. Glawyer Says:

That Indian Diaspora sounds like a racist organisation that seems only to be interested in furthering the interests of indians everywhere with little regard for the indigenous as seen in Mauritius and Fiji. Yet when Fijians do something for themselves or try to implement plans that will help bring us up economically its people like Chodo pulling out the race card. The Indian government also seems to two-faced as in the 87 and 2000 coup they were very vocal and yet in this coup they seem to have lost their voice. Looks like a case of looking after their own kind.

  6. Budhau Says:

Yeah FijiGirl – Chaudary plans to use Fiji for transshipment of drugs and money laundering. He also plans to send the Epeli boys on a trip to India – where they will be taken care of – and then Chaudary would become the President and Rajendra will be the PM.

Fox – where is your evidence that GOPIO came up with the money – that Haryana money – I bet Qarase, Ballu Khan and the rest of them would have come up with more money than that for Chaudary – If Chaudary would have agreed to migrate to Australia.

There are people in Fiji who would be willing to come up with several millions if they can convince Chaudary to migrate. They can turn around and make much more than that from some government contract or licence from a SDL type regime – wasn’t the Haryana money supposedly to help Chaudary settle in Australia.

And then there are those idiots with their regular Indian bashing – hey guys, go find out who the real enemy is – before you start coming up with solutions.

This is a fight between Fijians – while Chaudary bashing or Indian bashing may make you feel good – it does not solve the underlying problem.

  7. Jese Waqalekaleka Says:

    @ Budhau,

this is not a fight against Fijians. Where is your proof? As I’ve told you before, you generalise too much without substance.

The only Fijians who sided with Bainimarama are the Mara, Ganilau and Naisogolaca children to execute the coup against the greater majority of Fijians who supported Qarase.

Surely the Mara, Ganilau and Naisogolaca children are not an accurate representations of the majority of the Fijian race and the rejection of the People’s Charter by the majority over 2/3 of the 14 Provinces are testament of this fact.

Just because you have a few ambitious, envious and selfish families, you cannot properly label them as true Representatives of the whole Fijian race.

Again, if you cannot ‘walk the walk, the don’t talk the talk.’

  8. The Fox Says:

    Budhau,
The whole world is fully aware of the imperialsitic movement that emanates from within India itself as a means to provide support and consolidate the wider Indian Communities all over the globe!!. That’s the primary objective of the Indian dispora and GOPIO. The total income of GOPIO itself according to one of their recent report is about $44billion. That is even more than the Indian Government’s Income itself in a year!. Those monies are distributed through their various Social and economic programmes throughout the World under the guise of providing support and service to their own people. In small vulnerable economies and countries like Fiji and as experienced in Maritius, where the Indian population constitute almost half the general population, GOPIO’s objective is aimed at a total take over of the country. Over time, they infiltrate the targetted Nation’s economic base and working through the various social, educational and legal institutions,etc..with the goal to completely take over the Nation and ripped it apart from the indigenous owners over time.In Fiji, the scenario is becoming a reality very clearly now and strengthened through Voreqe and the poor Fijian dominated military’s support. GOPIO’s big Vision stands to be the biggest winner in all these developments when the dust finally settles down. What evidence do you seek?. Just look at the Ig’s Hong Kong thesis in 2002 for a total anihilation of the Fijian Administrative System and Dr Khan’s proposed Land reforms that will ultimately remove Fijian land ownership and their related rights!!!..Boy oh boy!!Budhau, lai teve mada boy..Yesterday we commemorate Speights coup in 2000. One biggest mistake the poor bloke made during hios coup was his failure to circumcise all those Indian MP’s especially Chaudhry now that we are fully informed of their ulterior motive and their hatred against the Fijian people!!..

Correction above….First sentence “..The whole world ARE fully aware..>>>>>”

  10. FijiGirl Says:

Thanks everyone (NPrince, Glawyer, TF, qilaqila, Jese) for your thoughts and feedback.

Budhau – Still too stupid for words, I see. I’m not going to bother answering your “points” because
    a) your fallacies are self-evident,
    b) you never listen or learn, you just argue (because it is your job to do so, and it’s probably also just in your nature), and
    c) you really are too f**king stupid for words.

    God bless Fiji

  11. natewaprince Says:

Butthole,if still insist that this is a fight between Fijians, then don’t stick your nose in it (you Indians, that is ).Because then you’ll also be on the receiving end when payback time comes around. Catch my drift???

  12. Striker Says:

This Chodo is a spy, an Indian agent. He deserves to be cahrged for treason and spend the rest of his life in Krorvou where he belongs!

  13. Tracker Says:

How did we get to this? We are inheriting the inactions and lack of vision that our leaders had in the last 40-50 years. The problem is the ‘wereubiubi’ and not calling the pot black as it were. Fijians were too nice, too giving and all this whilst being screwed over by the Indian elites, business leaders etc. It’s time to speak up, even if we disagree, it doesn’t mean that its wrong. It means that we can have a healthy debate and the result can be a well considered solution.

This coup will help us Fijians deal with our problems through healthy debate and being honest with each other. Even chiefs and leaders make grave mistakes. It shows that we should be vigilant in electing our leaders, people who can make a great difference in our lives & the future generations.

Chaudhry is what he is today because he was allowed to. So is Banimarama! We should learn to nip things in the bud!! The economy will not improve and things will get worse, unless the IG is removed…how, I don’t know just yet. I fear that a violent overthrow will have catastrophic consequences for all of us, especially the other race.

    God Bless Fiji
