MANY MANY THANKS TO FIJI DEMOCRACY NOW FOR THE TRANSLATION………………………………

SA YALA EKE

Here’s a quick rough translation penned in a hurry by one of our team.

We have done this because the dictator’s so-called Real Fiji News has published a bullshit translation.

We think its more insightful than inciteful, but it’s up to everyone to make up their own mind.

IT STOPS HERE

This Easter we leave behind us one of the saddest and darkest chapters in the history of Fiji, this is especially so for we the native race.

I refer to the destruction of the constitution by Jofesa Iloilovatu, which is the foundation on which the life of the nation is built, in particular in the protections it affords us as the native race. There are no words in the Fijian language suitable to describe Iloilovatu, but we request that the people of the Vanua ofVuda will take him back to his home. Behind him there is Bainimarama, the uneducated, hateful oppressor of the Fijian people. There are a number ignorant Military officers who are supporting Bainimarama and this also includes Ganilau and Nailatikau.

Iloilovatu will destroy Fiji. Business is grinding to a halt, jobs are lost, the currency is weakening, food is short, government services are disrupted and harmony is going to disappear.

But it is up to all of us to devote ourselves to the bring down of the government of Iloilovatu.

Let us dedicate ourselves to the following:

1. Our silence being bought STOPS HERE; no more dialoguing with Bainmarama, or paying heed to what he says. We shall take back the leadership of our country by what ever means we have available to us. We will pray to our God, and as the agitation proceeds he will fight alongside us.

2. The Waiting STOPS HERE; we will not wait for others to fight for our rights; we the native race will take the initiative. If other races or other governments offer help we will gratefully receive it, if not, we, the native race, shall carry on alone.

3. Our expecting leaders to take the initiative to lead us forward to action STOPS HERE; it is up to each of us as individuals to answer the challenge and act together and do what must be done. It will start from Suva with us all joining in protest marches, closing roads in towns and villages, closing airports and ports throughout Fiji. Fiji will be paralysed uniti we achieve our objective, that is the restoration of the 1997 constitution. When our objective is achieved, there will harmony within and good relations with other nations of the world, and change will be achieved quickly to restore peace and prosperity to our land.

4. Fear STOPS HERE; we are a brave people, we do not fear prison, injury or death. The soldiers andpolice are our children and we know they will not want to cause injury to their relatives. However, even if people are hurt we will not give up. We will say to our descendants: “For your tomorrow
we gave our today”.

5. Our lack of belief in ourselves STOPS HERE; now is the time for us to use the full powers with each of us has been individually endowed. Some of those opposing us are our relatives, but their evil of their deeds will follow them to their eternal shame, just like Judas Iskariot.

Our motto: IT STOPS HERE.

Hey guys, if you can’t get the translation, why don’t you learn to cooperate and get one of the other sites to give you a translated version.

This is the end, isn’t that what the author is saying.

  4. Nostradamus Says:

I will be producing one, but it must reflect the whole meaning, and that is intricate. The right words must be chosen, not just the literal word by word dictionary stuff. There are some things difficult to say in English, so one must look a the whole picture to get it. It is an art, not a computer program.

  5. Dau Says:

Nostra, the translation would be interesting. Its rather inciting in nature. The writer and beings on both sides of the fence should relax a little bit with a cool drink and ponder on the consequeces of the move suggested by sa yala eke. I have seen a number of people lose their lives before my very eyes . Its not easy to obliterate those memories. Sa Yala Eke Please Pray with sincerity to the ONE ABOVE not for the answer you want but for God’s answer and solution. You wont be disappointed. NOSTRADAMUS was that great Jewish psychic wasn’t he?

Sources: President “fooled” into abrogating Constitution

Coupfourpointfive has been told by a well-placed source there’s evidence to suggest the ageing president, Ratu Josefa Iloilo, may not have known the full scale of what he was doing the day he abrogated the Constituton.

Our source says he has evidence of a conversation the 89-year old head of state had with his matani-vanua (traditional spokesman) that Good Friday, April the 10th.

The conversation is said to have taken place after he made the announcement, when he retired to his room on the first floor of Government House, accompanied by the matani-vanua.

It’s said Ratu Iloilo sat on his bed, his matani-vanua on a chair, and that the latter asked Ratu Iloilo in the Fijian language if he was serious about throwing away the Constitution.

A stunned Ratu Josefa then stated “huh” and continued to say, in Fijian, seqa, seqa, seqa; no, no, no, “that wasn’t what Rupeni ‘Nacewa’ (the personal secretary) gave me to read”.

The matani-vanua is said to have replied in Fijian, “But Turaga that is what you just did”- throw away the Constitution.

The source claims Ratu Iloilo’s wife, the First Lady Adi Kavu, came upstairs and ordered the matani-vanua to leave the room and that the matani-vanua was not seen at Government House until this Friday, when Ratu Epeli Nailatikau was appointed Vice-President.

It’s widely believed the military regime has been using the misguided president to rubber-stamp the deeds of Frank Bainimarama – first with the Labour Party leader, Mahendra Chaudhry, and now with attorney general, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

It’s believed the aged Ratu Iloilo was employed to rubber-stamp several of the regime’s treasonous acts, includuing the overthrow of Laisenia Qarase’s Multi-Party Government.

Ratu Iloilo then went on to bless the People’s Charter, a document spearheaded by Johnny Comelately’s wanting to cash in on the interim regime’s gravy train.

Regarding the conversation between him and his spokesperson on Good Friday, our source says that never in traditional protocol has the matani-vanua been separated from Ratu Iloilo, as he was the day the Constitution was abrogated.

He added that staff at Government House this week have seen a black dog prowling the building and the compound.

According to Fiji history, the people of Vanua of Vuda, see this as a sign their chief is nearing his end and that Ratu Ilioilo’s predecessor, Tui Vuda, Ratu Josefa Tavaiqia, passed on not long after a black dog was sighted.

  12. s raqiqi Says:

    correction on Maitai story:
    a) the matanivanua DOES NOT enter the Turaga’s bedroom on his own unless he is summoned
b)the matanivanua WILL NOT SIT ON A CHAIR, rather he will sit on the floor in front of the Tui Vuda
    c) the matanivanua WILL NOT ASK THE TURAGA ISSUES OF THAT NATURE, it is none of the matanivanua’s business
    d) for your information, the black dog you refer to when sighted means the Tui Vuda will live longer!!!! pls get your stories checked and corrected.
    vasu ni vuda

  13. Digger09 Says:

S Raqiqi can you please these comments on the raw fiji news page and coup 4.5 – they have the same story posted and they need to be corrected!

  14. Mai Tai Says:

    Raqiqi !!
story has been verified. the black dog is there for something else !!

sei kuca Vasu? i set koto?

    kida vali !!!!

  15. s raqiqi Says:

    Mai Tai
Spoke to the matanivanua who happens to be my uncle, he is so sad that such stories are circulating! he has confirmed that it never happened!!! all lies!!!! you should be ashamed of yourselves for spreading lies!!!!! or di u talk to the matanivanua yourself?????????????????????

The day of Reckoning will one day confront us with our past deeds. God Bless us all earthlings.

  17. s raqiqi Says:

@ dau, I could not agree with you more! What I would appreciate if stories were true than it’s ok !!! but to be spreading lies and people to be talking about issues that they do not know anything about than thats really sick! I personally do not condone coups etc but it does not mean creating stories! For eg about the black dog, Mai Tai has no idea whats it’s all about, only a dra vaka vuda will!!!!!! so chill out !!!!or I get the black do to bite your butt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. Budhau Says:

The silly-ass RFN folks are at it again – making up sotries, from secret sources.

BTW to keep that hate Indian theme going, they wrote,
“It’s widely believed the military regime has been using the misguided president to rubber-stamp the deeds of Frank Bainimarama – first with the Labour Party leader, Mahendra Chaudhry, and now with attorney general, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.”

Yes, this was all Chaudary, Kauiym and that John Sami.

So it is there guys who are insulting the intelligence of the Fijian people – that they will buy into this crap.

I think at least some of you should be insulted by this.

BTW if this is so important to the people -where are the intelligent, educated Fijians who should be taking up the cause – not the idiots at RFN.

BTW – have those clubs at the museum – have they started any signs of movement.

Mai Tai says the story has been verified – that black dog. OK, so if that means the demise of the president – so what, we will have another President. The man had a good life, he would die not because of the black dog, he would die because of old age.

  19. Ko na Gone Says:

Totally agree with s raqiqi!!!…Mai Tai..u remind me of my 3yr old who is fond of making up stories..stories to entertain..stories to scare..but still stories made up by an imaginative mind of a child…ke sa sega ga nomu talanoa..kua na lasu…galu ga ka MASU!!

  20. Sucumaivavalagi Says:

Mai tai your comments disgust me in their entirety, if you are of Fijian decent you should be totally ashamed of yourself for spreading lies and false stories.

You bear false witness against people you do not know.

You stories are like dust on the wind, meaningless and amounting to nothing. You claim to have incite into the ways, traditions and protocols of the Vanua of Vuda but I guarantee that rubbish like you has no place in our vanua.

    You claim

“Our source says he has evidence of a conversation the 89-year old head of state had with his matani-vanua (traditional spokesman) that Good Friday, April the 10th.”

    Where is your proof?

“It’s said Ratu Iloilo sat on his bed, his matani-vanua on a chair, and that the latter asked Ratu Iloilo in the Fijian language if he was serious about throwing away the Constitution.

A stunned Ratu Josefa then stated “huh” and continued to say, in Fijian, seqa, seqa, seqa; no, no, no, “that wasn’t what Rupeni ‘Nacewa’ (the personal secretary) gave me to read”.

The matani-vanua is said to have replied in Fijian, “But Turaga that is what you just did”- throw away the Constitution.”

First of all as it has already been pointed out, the mata ni vanua would never sit on a chair in the presence of His Excellency Ratu Josefa Iloilovatu.

We have respect for our leaders and would never show any sign of disrespect in public or in private.

You state twice in your comments that they spoke in Fijian, obviously they would speak in Fijian I find it interesting though that you chose to highlight that they were speaking in Fijian rather than the traditional vuda dialect.

By the way the Mata ni vanua would also never call the President, his chief “Turaga” it, simply is not our way anyone with a basic understanding of the Vuda protocols would know that.

I have no problem with people not agreeing with the choices that the president has made, it is after all your choice to do so, I do object however to slander and purposely deceitful comments made that are of no value.

I encourage people to post in a manner that is becoming to Fijians not this rubbish that Mai Tai seems to dish out at will.

GOD BLESS HIS EXCELLENCY RATU JOSEFA ILOILOVATU ULUIVUDA

    GOD BLESS FIJI

  21. Mai Tai Says:

the point of that story is the dog and the radini, !!!! btw, that story was already on raw Fiji news. that radini is something else. the story about the black dog and the chiefs demise is not correct, but just like what Raqiqi said, if you are a koi Vuda you’d know, why that dog has been sighted !!!

…….boy now we need to call animal planet.

  22. Mai Tai Says:

hey folks, just wanted to get your opinion on something:

what do you guys think of Nailatikau’s appointment as VP?

  23. Sucumaivavalagi Says:

    kida vali !!!!

Verified by who ? If there were only two people in the room and the Mata ni Vanua did not give the information then are you saying you heard it directly from the President.

  24. Budhau Says:

“That story was already on raw Fiji news.” – what else do you need.

  25. Ko na Gone Says:

So what, all of a sudden they have the inside scoop as to what is going on in His Excellency’s private quarters, UNLIKELY.

Why don’t you Budhau or RFN post the name of the source…..
