WE WANT DEMOCRACY IN 2009

What is Fiji coming to with 7 grown men raping a little girl, yes a little girl aged 12?

Why was a drunk soldier allowed into a Suva nightclub with a gun? Let alone outside of the QEB or Police HQ with a gun?

Why are the police allowed to drink and drive when they’ve been constantly telling the public not to?

Why is the treasonous illegal government not doing anything about it?

Where is the accountability?

To begin with the TIG couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery.

Their police cannot police because they’re not trained for the job, The people in charge of the police force are army and navy personnel, entirely unsuited to the job of protecting the welfare of the public and their assets, investigating crime or patrolling to maintain security for the everyone and everything.

We’ve raised the issue of break ins being carried out by the police themselves and army personnel at places like Kundan Singhs for example. They are going to carry on this type of behaviour regardless because the TIG will do nothing about it, in fact the TIG is most probably condoning it.

How can a soldier be allowed access to firearms if he is not on duty?

Isn’t there security in place to ensure that all firearms are accounted for?

Where is the progress the TIG is constantly bleating?

There has not been an iota of progress anywhere in Fiji. Not positive progress anyway, the only progress is the TIGs ability to lie and cheat and spend money that they have no right to on themselves and their families.

While the Nation maintains calm and tries so hard to live and work peacefully and hope for this TIG to show some shred of humanity and allow elections so we can all rebuild and learn from the terrible denial of democracy of the 5.12.06 coup, how many more atrocities do we have to face?

Everyone in Fiji has to unite, no matter what race, religion or politcal leaning, we all have to unite to restore Fiji to parliamentary democracy before we descend to the depths that African Nations have.

WE HAVE TO SAVE OUR NATION AND OURSELVES FROM DEPRAVITY.

sometimes you have to hit rock bottom .
Because from there , you can only go up !

  4. Lusianna Says:

Vinaka SV for allowing me to blog on your site!

It is time to give it away!

This site is not what I thought it was!

I pray to God that another reliable site would be set up so I can blog some more!

    TA! TA! All!

  5. Mark Manning Says:

Just saw a good documentary on Hitler on SBS last night . With newly released documents , it was discovered that many of Hitler’s family , half brothers , half sisters , uncles and aunties , were half wits or mentally challenged .
His own Father , probably wasn’t his real father , he was born out of wedlock ( a bastard ) , maybe was part Jewish himself and of course we all know he was Austrian not German at all .
And that his Father used to beat him severely , a bit like the child abuse that goes on in Fiji these days with the raping and bashing of children by big strong men ( cowards ) .
So , Fiji society now has the potential to breed half wits like Hitler , or has it already ?

  6. Tash Says:

I thought it was Fiji’s Illegal Junta that we should not trust but this blog site is a sham to!

My advice to the moderators is to delete my comments!

I wasted my precious time on this site!

  7. Snapper Cracker Says:

Just received text message not to blog anymore on this site!

    SV Org is OK!

Read what F.I.R.M HAS TO SAY!

  8. KilaKila Says:

Trolling through this site in the last couple of weeks I have made a connection that lusiana/cakau/wainibu/ablaze is one and the same.

Also Tash and Snapper Cracker is one and the same.

If you read the comments by lusiana/cakau/wainibu/ablaze, Tash/ Snapper Cracker will follow suit applauding her and disagreeing with others who dare to challenge lusiana/cakau/wainibu/ablaze. Typical mother/daughter combo. The mother is a liar and so is the daughter.

Now they’re all commenting above about leaving this site because they have been found out.

Hey o iko F.I.R.M sauma mada mai nai taro nei Adi Kaila, dou choro taka tiko na donations kivei SOLIVAKASAMA, se vacava?

there is nothing with having multiple blog name.Do understand the meaning of blogging?

  10. FijiGirl Says:

SV – good post, but I would ask the writer – what do you propose we do about it (other than blogging to point out the fallacies, inaccuracies, corruption and incompetencies of the TIG)?
    March?
    Hold other protests ala Tui?
    Strike action?
What, exactly, are you proposing we do, other than keep burning the fires of our rage?
    God bless Fiji

  11. Jean d'Ark Says:

Happy New Year, Fijigirl (and everyone else)!

In answer to your question – Form an NGO and join up with the Democracy Council (or just join straight up)!

We need to consider a range of options in addition to blogging – and that is a FIRST step!

2009 is the Regime’s last roll of the dice to try and garner some kind of legitimacy with the people of Fiji and the internationsl community.

They still have it in their naive minds that they (have the qualities and abilities) to forge some kind of Singapore out of Fiji. They blame Mahen for previous budgetary stuff-ups that have sunk the economy deeper since 2006.

So once this Samy/Narayan/Khaiyum/Chand 2009 budget sinks without a trace of economic benefit by year’s end, they will KNOW for sure that their Utopian charter pipe-dream is a non starter without proper democracy and legitimacy. They may claim that they have to wait another two or three years for the effects to show in the economic cycle, but really the writing will already be on the wall by then. Then you will see them increasingly isolated as more and more NCBBF/Charter supporters drift away from Frank & Co as it becomes increasingly difficult for them to justify all of Frank’s lying, cheating and charades that resulted in NO evident benefit or achievement!

  12. Peace Pipe Says:

In the FT today there is a news item about the pig telling the chiefs at the BNT at the camp that elections will be held in December 2009. This was after one chief who had the balls and the intellect to pose the question of election deadline Rt Peni Latianara to the syndicate crime boss. Whilst others were there just to enjoy the feasting and masipolo activities we had this one straight shooter who had the gumption to question the illegal PM on important issues.

Of course this will give him time to try and impose the electoral reforms and farter charter. Then he could be just kidding Rt Peni as is his normal behaviour that he so notorious for.

  13. FijiGirl Says:

    Vinaka JDA.
What is the difference between the Democracy Council and the movement headed by Attar Singh?
SV – It may be useful to list all the NGO’s in Fiji which are currently working FOR the return to democracy, instead of against it (like NCBBF)
    God bless Fiji

  14. Moce Tadra Says:

To all my Fijian colleagues lets sit back and be cool and give Bai and Petero all their freedom of movement and lets see what they are going to achive from this illegal charter. I believe that the Rabuka and Speight’s coup used the Fijian people in trying and achieve their dirty objective but it fail at the end.One ends up in jail and the other one is like like a qiyawa kanakana da waiting for the right opportunity to grab any da that comes around. Out of the two coups the Rabuka’s coup philosophy was very well set up that it lured most of us blindly to support him. Now the same blindfold tricks have swung to our Indian collegues and most of them have swallowed the poison bait been fed to them. Now Bainimarama realised that he cannot get the support of the Fijian majority where he will now with all his power in trying to demolish any Fijian dominated institution for our Indian colleagues to think that he is doing it for them. These are some of the tactics that has been long on the coup book of Dec 5th .To all the soldiers at the Barracks be reminded that you are part of these Fijian Institution that been targeted and you will be the last ones to be demolished when all these charter process are legalize. Again to you my Fijian brothers at the barracks you are also being used by these thugs behind the scene in order for them to achieve their dirty politics and you will be in the shit. To prove my point to the men in green up in the hill of Delainabua, where are all your high ranking officers gone to?.They are holding those high management post in the government and you will be sweating your arse in that terrorists uniform before being kicked out from there too. And to you my Indian colleague’s, does the latest budget cares for the sugar cane farmers anymore? Never and you will also be kicked out by those Fijian land owners if anything goes wrong with the charter or the IG. Those are just some of the issues that need to be clarified otherwise you will swallow the bait and be hooked on it for ever. The guilt of your wrong doings now will not only ends here but it will contineued until the rest of your life like Rabuka/Speight who looks like lunatics and seeking for people to forgive them.

The police needs policing and yes I did register with SV in good faith and in good faith still I tread very carefully.

Mr.Manning I do appreciate your time and efforts and I can see your perspective on the “drag queen” pic…….. you do understand the different reactions to it as I expected you had the capacity to handle like you always do everything. I would like to meet you some day….. curiousity ay!🙂

Vinaka SV for all the hard work, I do think we should give Adi Kaila the benefit of a doubt as with every one else…..Ms.Lusiana is relatively new, or so I assume, and I notice a few discrepancies.

Very feisty lady I respect her for that …… take it easy with Adi Kaila and Island boy she should…….but then again we are all entitled to our own “opinions”.

“Opinions” ~ I always say is the stuff “small people” are made of…… it is wise counsel we all should seek and be very careful to not mislead people with! I know that we’re all protective of kin and clan but on the same token we should also be careful to not encourage certain elements in society.

    Vinaka, sa dri yani!

  16. Budhau Says:

Hey, whats all this bitching going on in here – folks complaining that they are asked not blog and others are asked to leave. Some complain that they can’t trust this site….and then there is F.I.R.M.

SV… if you want want to respond to these guys, ,do so openly – what is this with multiple ID etc.

..and BTW – those few crimes that you mentioned in the above piece – that could have happened under anyone watch – I don’t think you will get the masses rising against this regime because we had some drunk police officers or a rape incident.

..and yeah, I think these rapes and other family values related issues must be addressed regardless of who forms the government.

  17. Mark Manning Says:

Loyal and honourable Police Officers in Fiji would be forgiven for turning on those within their own ranks who have chosen to tarnish the name of the Fiji Police Force .
Perhaps they need a taste of their own medicine !

  19. newsfiji Says:

I reckon SV is able to hand pick the imposters of this site..for us who have been blogging from the start under 1 name, let’s remain true to our cause and start looking for doable solutions that is lawful.

I will suggest actively getting involved with the Fiji Democracy Movement.

    Congrats to Attar Singh!

  20. Frida Says:

I agree with you newsfiji and for those os us who truly believe in restoring democracy to our beautiful country, lets get to know the FDM and offer support when and in which way we can.

I have also heard that the smart sanctions placed by Austalian on Fiji for the no election by March 2009 is that all government projects funded by AusAID (presumable NZAID) ceases on 31 March, 2009. This was confirmed to me by someone working on an AusAID funded government project.

  21. Budhau Says:

Attar Singh has too much political baggage to lead the Fiji Democracy Movement – an NFP leader and a Trade Unionist – Attar Singh’s universe revolves around Chaudary.

Honestly – these guys could not find someone better than this Attar Singh guy.

  22. Mark Manning Says:

It’s the International community and International organisations that Fijians for Democracy need to lobby !
It can be done independently or collectively as a group and then maybe the individual groups have also lobby collectively .

  23. Mark Manning Says:

This is not a game of football and why can’t the elections be held in march 2009 and who is Yubaki to determine what is fair and not fair for the rest of the Fijian citizens .
Another question to ask , is why has Frank now changed his tune about an election in 2009 and who has told him to commit and why ?
Are they going to adhere to any election result anyway , whether it be in march or December .
Clearly not , as Frank already stated several times in 2007 and 2008 that any government that doesn’t do things the way he wants them done , will again be overthrown .
I don;”t think the Fiji public are so stupid to fall for Frank’s tricks anymore .
This is the very reason you all must lobby the International community and particularly the members of the Pacific Island Forum before ,not after , but before it’s meeting this month .
Frank and his band of thieves , are just that , thieves and murderers and cannot be trusted . They are a bunch of low life terrorists who would steal the steam off your shit if you gave them the chance .
    http://www.fijitimes.com/story.aspx?id=110781
Now , there is no time to waste , a concerted effort must be made by the Fijians to secure Democracy for themselves and the their Children or you will surely suffer worse atrocities for the next 5 years !
Beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing !

  24. Mark Manning Says:

They keep shifting the goal posts !

  25. Jean d'Ark Says:

Attar Singh may not be perfect, but he’s light years better than Frank or any of the clowns in the IG.

Moreover, perfection is not a prerequisite for leadership of any freedom movement. If you look for instance, you can find a number of books that argue Mohammed Ali Jinnah was really the man of principle during the Indian independence struggle, while Mahatma Gandhi was really the manipulative schemer. Whatever the case, nobody is perfect, but at least one imperfect man led his nation to freedom.

One good thing about you Budhau is that you always chime in when something is happening on here that the IG is concerned about. (That must be your psyops brief, eh?)

But that’s also kind of Br’er Rabbit briar patch giveaway that lets us know what they really don’t want.

That being the case, its time to sign up with the FDM, or Solivakasama.org people!

  26. Peace Pipe Says:

I have this inner feeling that the pig is just trying to gain some sympathy as the time nears for the Forum meeting in PNG. Why wasn’t this news announced soon after the BNT nearly a month ago. But no it had to be released at this time to coincide with the PNG meeting. And two of his top publicists (yabaki and nawalowalo) playing the herald for the pig. Rt Peni who questioned the illegal ipm on the matter never mentioned this nor any other chief that attended the meeting. Anyway December is still a year away and a breach of a promise made. It can continue shifting if they find that they still haven’t had their fill and want to continue feasting off the national treasury. International communities must not relent on their pressure since two years is already up and according to the Milbrook Action Program is time enough to get elections under way.

  27. Mark Manning Says:

    peace pipe
all well and good to say this , and i agree with you , as probably do so many others .
but as a white man , i know that it’s only going to come to fruition ( happen ) if you Fijians lobby the international community for elections to be held in March 2009 and not December or any other time .
You need to to tell them by writing in person and have as many friends and like minded people do the same or have your relatives overseas lobby on your behalf , particularly the USA , Australia and New Zealand . But don’t forget the other Pacific Islands and the Prime Minister of New Guinea .
Non of them have respect for Frank , they know the man is dead wood floating about the Pacific and that his behaviour is destroying the region . So i suggest , you get together everyone you know , and encourage them to write to the Pacific forum leaders in their respective countries etc.

  28. Budhau Says:

Fiji Democracy Movement – or should we just call it the SDL/NFP coalition.

There is your Attar Singh and Pramod Rae from NFP.
Then there is Qarase, Beddoes, our good buddy Waqanisau has got some chairman position, Samisoni Tikoinasau, Peceli Kinivuwai, Ted Young and the rest.

Seriously guys – can’t you folks put some non-political types together, and I guess you could get such reps from all walks of life – not only these politician types.

I also think our blogsite has also been hijacked by some SDL types – and you can see this blog going downhill. What a shame – and there were people who thought this site and the some folks in here were going to bring about some positive change.

I say stay away from that .org site and this Democracy movement – get something legitimate started.

  29. Moce Tadra Says:

Brutality in the displinary forces starts at home. It’s a pity to see parents smacking and severely punishing children thinking that it’s their right to treat children in that manner. The very children that been exposed to brutality in their early ages will be our police and military officers of today. Unfortunately we do not realise that the same mentality of brutality seen with the displinary forces are no exception from those robbers walking our streets freely today. It does not only ends here as majority of the population except these brutality mentality reaching the stage where the very people who should be stopping these barbaric act do not care anymore. The political climate and our racial divisions have blinded us thinking that brutalising or killing a person is next to killing a dog. Brutality is not only using force to cause injuries to someone else but it will also affect our children in the future, thinking that it’s normal to treat people in this manner. I also think that the coup has a major effect on the act of brutality from our displinary forces to the public and its so sad to see that we are taking this road .No wonder the trained dogs(police) will become barbaric like those untrained dogs(Army) as the leader of the pack is a dog who use to kanakana da tu ga sa mai via liutaki ira tu na koli ni ovisa and who else its the one and only Ketepoka.

  30. Jean d'Ark Says:

The rumour mill continues to throw up the second half of the year as the new election ballpark date. I’ve heard this from a couple of different sources now.

The key pre-requisites for the Pig before that happens are 1. His Commander’s contract falls due for renewal by this year’s end – so there’ll be no elections until he goes through the charade of having Eveli Qanibulu recommend to him as Cabinet Chair, that he as Commander should have his contract renewed (indefinitely?)

Then there’s the small issue (goal #2) of getting Eveli Najikau ensconced as VP before elections. This will no be so easy after what happened the last time they tried it. So it will be interesting what they try to cook up to jump the series of hurdles they’re facing on this one.

And #3 is of course the Charter (so he can continue to run the affairs of nation from the barracks). This is now sub-judice with the Jitoko/Byrnes rulings, so it will be interesting to see how they wriggle out of this one, too.

Anyway, let’s see what the Pig says when he goes to Niu Gini later this month.

  32. Lusianna Says:

    Dear Bloggers,

I tried posting this on the solivakasama blog but was blocked awaiting moderators approval. I doubt it will ever be published. I believe that my side of the story should be told.
I have kept my silence till now but believe I should write something to clear the air.
I use to have a blog called kutusebeneivore@wordpress.com and regularly blog on other anti Fiji Coup sites. After the closure of RFC when it was hijacked by the goons I suggested we maintain that spirit and continue on another blog. I then set up this blog site and pass on the password to regular bloggers’ goneyalewaniviti, Jean d’Ark, Adi Kaila, Big Bill and Natewa Prince. The idea was to work as a tag team as one can not contribute content all the time.

Over the months, it appears as if I was the only one blogging so I recruited in Jese Waqalekaleka as a contributor after a few correspondences and emailed him the password. He later on recruited in another gentleman who later blogs as FIRM.

As SV grew there were numerous calls and suggestion by bloggers that we set up a global organisation and people were even suggesting we set up a political party, a trust fund etc. to help freedom fighters.

At this point the only active people that were posting (the ones with the password) was Jese, FIRM and I. So due to these suggestion, the number of hits on the website and OUR DESIRE TO MOVE THE CAMPAIGN FROM MERELY BLOGGING TO OTHER WAYS OF RESISTING VORE AND HIS GOONS, we decided to set up a website and in crease the electronic warfare effort to another level. Blogging alone will not do anything against thick headed military goons.

All of these at this point are done on trust and a common commitment to free our homeland from the tyranny that has now got an iron fist on it.

The website was launched, branding done with merchandise and even without appealing people start donating in money.

Last week, what started as a little spat between Adi Kaila who placed personal information about a lady on the internet in one of the thread of discussion got a bit out of hand. FIRM took offence as I believe he is related to the lady whose personal life was being discussed and things got really ugly. I must admit that I was disappointed with FIRM for deleting some of the comments as I am a strong promoter of freedom of expression. But then you have got to understand that he was trying t defend a relative and things can get emotionally charged.

Also a public spat among freedom bloggers and taking a bite at each other publicly on this blog would be playing right into those that oppose us such as the Military and the illegal government. I mean, our fight is against Bainimarama and those that support him. To keeps things professional, I emailed FIRM and was trying to pacify him behind the scene before turning my attention to Adi Kaila.

However while I was too busy trying to cool down FIRM and before I could turn my attention at Adi Kaila, she must have checked back to all her old emails, recovered the password and changed it blocking out all of us. That is my gut feel because the others who know the password had hardly contribute for the last 12 months.

So if it is Adi Kaila she is now solely in control of this blog. In her selfish greed to get back at FIRM she has also kicked me out and others who have slaved hard to keep this blog alive and kicking day and night. If she is against solivakasama.org I would like to state for the record that she had registered on it but unfortunately it got rejected as a person must register with his/her real name.

I was really looking forward to the 1 million hit and I feel robbed right now. While I have never ever personally claim this blog as my own given initially it was my idea and I set it up, it feels like somebody has kidnapped one of my children.

I emailed adi kaila last Sunday trying to reason with her that this fight is bigger then we but she has decided to ignore it.

Right now I feel so dirty about the whole thing. I still would like to kick Voreqe Bainimarama in the butt but I feel so vindicated and used by what has happened here. Since Sunday, I do not even want to comeback to this blog but someone alerted me today about this posting and I think it was proper that I commented.

Discussing with Jese Waqalekaleka on Sunday, we decided to try and keep it hush not to cause panic among freedom bloggers but it appears that personal agenda had being placed ahead of our fight so i now need to come out publicly.

I have always told the team to keep your personal feelings out. You are in control of some very confidential information and please if people attack you comments, live by the principle we are fighting for and that is the chance for others to be heard. This fight and struggle is bigger then all of us as individual and we must remain focus on the big picture.

I must state here that we are remaining focussed. FIRM has learnt a big lesson about what it takes to be a community organiser and we must move on after this road hump our our struggle for the freedom of our beloved Fiji.

Solivaksama.org is programmed for some big fights this year and that is why we are asking for people to sign up. e-petitions are about to go out and one of the first big fights we are planning is against expatriates who have taken up jobs with the terrorist that run our country at present. The ball is now in your court whether you want to join the struggle or regret later because this journey will move on without you.

For those of you who have donated money and now have doubts, email me at solivakasama.gmail.com and I will contact the team to return them because we are not a bunch of losers that I trying to scam something off you.

These gentlemen who are leading the fight have actually used their own money, time and effort to set up the website and we are moving this fight towards another level using our own time, money and effort and whether you want to come on board or not we are marching on to freedom.

Again I say email me as I solely control and know the password to solivakasama.gmail.com if you want to know more.
    Kutu.

NB: In due time, we the organisers of solivakasama.org will come out in due time but for the security of our family we have decided to keep our ID confidential for now on.

    From Raw Fiji News
Chaudhry snubbed by the back-to-democracy group
    January 8, 2009
Mahendra Chaudhry’s latest attempt to slither his way into that newly formed democracy movement has been met with a solid spikey wall. Sources say the guy is tapping into his contacts list to find the right person to help him in.

We are told that at first, Chaudhry played his usual arrogant game by telling his people to go tell those democracy movement guys to send him an invitation letter to join. Chaudhry’s messenger boy was told to go back and tell his master to go jump. And that is that for now with Chaudhry expected to launch his own mild democracy campaign under his FLP banner.

Sources who have access to the democracy movement say that the group is not willing to work with Chaudhry whom they say has compromised his pro-democracy stand when he chose to work as an interim minister for Frank’s military regime.

Well, if this story is true, it at least shows the Democracy Movement has their heads screwed on right. Hopefully they will continue to rebuff the malodorous Chodokant’s advances as democracy makes its way slowly but surely back to us.
    God bless Fiji

    @ Kutu…..

Thanks for the explanation…. The cat fight sounds immature; was not a big deal… Plus.. If you guys had each others email.. Why didnt you guys just email each other in private. Anyway; shall we move on? Thanks again…
