Fiji illegal PM warns against ‘past’ politics

Bloggers, well this bastard just keeps shooting off his mouth before the Presidential Political Forum next week. How can this Forum be open, when all discussions are to be predicated around the People’s Charter, which is the exit strategy for Vore and his cronies! The politics of the past did not stem from Rabuka, Qarase or Duvuloco, but the late Mara, Ganilau and others, so what’s the big deal? Mara and Ganilau’s children are deeply involved in the illegal regime and it is they who perpetuate the ‘past politics syndrome.’ Vore should be reminded that it is was ‘past politics’ which made him Commander of the RFMF because he could never have obtained it by merit. SDL and others should not back down and go the Meeting with clear strategies and forget Chodo altogether because he simply cannot be trusted!

Former Fiji coup leader Sitiveni Rabuka, nationalist Iliesa Duvuloco and deposed PM Laisenia Qarase have been warned against bringing back politics of the past.Speaking to Fijilive, interim Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama said the three leaders should be ready for a new beginning in Fiji politics.

“The actions of people like Rabuka, Qarase and Duvuloco brought us to where we are today,” he said.

The three have been invited along with leaders of 13 other political parties for a meeting to set Fiji’s return to elections following Bainimarama’s 2006 coup.

Rabuka welcomed the invite to his Soqosoqo Vakavulewa ni Taukei, saying they had a lot to offer “being the second longest serving Government” (7 years) behind Ratu Mara’s Alliance Party (17 years).
However, Bainimarama said this was “irrelevant”.

He also took a swipe at Duvuloco, who was jailed for his involvement in the 2000 civilian coup.

“Duvuloco keeps harping about the Constitution yet in 2000 he shot the Constitution to bits!

“This is the guy who was behind the events of 2000. I will not let Duvuloco, Qarase and Rabuka bring back the agenda of the last few years.

“I hope they come to the Monday forum with the understanding that there will be a change in mindset.

“If parties like the SDL are not forthcoming and still harping about the past then the meeting is not for them.

“The meeting is called on the understanding that we will get together and propose a way forward.”

Bainimarama said he woud not accept anything outside the bounds of the People’s Charter, which the military intends to be its exit strategy after the coup.

“They (political party leaders) should come to me with proposals, not demands,” he said.

“We decide what happens in this country!”

Is what Frank proposes , Democracy at all ?
He’s already set the agenda , Like Hitler , do as I say !
That’s not Democracy , it’s dictatorship at its most blatant !
This forum is doomed before it begins .
The annoying thing for me to watch , is that it’s your own society , you and your children’s futures that are being whittled away .
I don’t understand how you can all just blindly sit by and watch .
At least one man had the testicles to stand up and be counted for what he believed in , imagine if you all did that .
Have any of you men heard of the million man march ?
It’s time to stand up for your liberty and freedom , it’s your right !
Or you can continue to sit on your arses and suffer the consequences as Frank and his cronies become more entrenched !
Check out the dates , see who is saying what , listen to what they’re saying and note that they are Muslim , Christian , Jew , men women and children .

If there is valuable substantive outcome on these discussions, well and good, but I’m certainly not hanging anyhopes on it.

I just hope all the representatives don’t sell us down the river and agree to blanket amnesty for all of Frank’s government.

    Happy Deepawali Everyone!!!

  5. LUVfiji Says:

A new brand of leaders that will bring in a new brand of politics to formulate a new brand of policies. Thus will be the END of Voreqe!

@IB – no thanks to deepawali! Me luv my Jesus to the core!! But a great weekend to ya, my friend.

  6. Ablaze Says:

I am with you IslandBoy. Qarase’s SDL should think very careful because the madman has already said that if Elections are held and Qarase’s SDL wins there is going to be another coup.

The only way out of this is to change the mindset of these bunch of wankers and their supporters to work together, jail those that need to be jailed and elect good, strong leaders that will put the people first and guard the constitution like they would their life.

For the time being I shall do whatever it takes to get back our rights and our democracy.

  7. Ablaze Says:

@LUVfiji – “thus the END of Voreqe” I wish it was that easy but I have great doubts!

Pray tell us how you would get rid of someone who was the cause of all this mess we are in?

  8. LUVfiji Says:

    G’day Ablaze.

Yo feeling better now my dear? I’ve noted yr great post in response to mine on the other thread. Pheew.. that was some lashing!

    But I think the buzzword right now is D e m o c r a c y .

Lets get out of this rut first and we can think anything else, what say?

  9. IslandBoy Says:

@LUVfiji – I am still learning and trying to be a Christian and certainly proclaim no other name.

When I wish someone happy deepawali I do so because I respect the religious beliefs of my Hindu friends and neighbours.

A very wise lady Reverend taught me that we should come together to pray and not necessarily come to pray together.

If at this time they light their candles to pray, I appreciate their light and hope that the different races here can all move out of the darkness that envelopes us.

  10. IslandBoy Says:

@Ablaze – you got that right – lets not get our hopes up too high and be ready for to support different options if this one falls through.

  11. LUVfiji Says:

  12. LUVfiji Says:

Thanks IB – I understand yr point. Though I will not condemn any other religion, I will never acknowledge any other than my own.

You have a great day, Turaga Nite!

  13. Jese Waqalekaleka Says:

Bloggers, we will have to wait and see about Vore. He talks about being open mindedness and his definition of coming open minded to this Forum is ‘open on both ends’, which is absolute maddness.

Qarase, the NFP and Beddoes’s true mettle will be gaudged from what they get out from this Forum. Their performances during this political crisis could have been better with NGO’s and individuals stepping up to the plate and facing the wrath of the cowards at Delainabua.

They should have been at the forefront of the civil disobedience protests and ending up in jail or at the QEB.

Maybe, these times calls for new political blood and those who can strategies, think outside the square and look at Fiji’s longtime future to be their objective and not their own personal gains.

  14. Ablaze Says:

Sorry LUVfiji The buzzword for the rest of the world is sustainibility which means elected leaders meeting the needs of the people of their nation without compromising the ability of future generations. That I am afraid is where Democracy comes in.

Therefore, you have it totally wrong. The buzzword in my beloved country should be ” Dictatorship”

You avoided my question; how could get rid of someone who was the cause of all this mess we are in?

Maybe from Fiji’s Interim PM to officially Fiji’s first dictator!

Anyway must thank you for allowing me to have a sensible discussion with you instead of the nonsensical, time and space wasting slandering that sometimes happens on this site. I wish someone would explain to King Bai that is how to “dialogue”

Everyday is a blessed day for me as I am surrounding with a loving family and the best of friends.

Thank you I’m done for the day! Its Friday today! Its the weekend! Its the weekend!

  15. Jese Waqalekaleka Says:

    Bloggers, this is from FijiLive.

SDL: Bainimarama won’t dictate to us

Fiji’s former ruling party is adamant that no-nonsense interim Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama will not have his way at next Monday’s political forum.

The Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanua director Peceli Kinivuwai said they will not tolerate any “bullying tactics” by the interim Government.

“The meeting should be “fair and square” with terms and conditions agreed by all parties,” he said as representatives of Fiji’s 16 registered political parties prepare for the meet.

Bainimarama made a strong statement this week that he will not accept any demands from the parties, only proposals based on the People’s Charter.

However, despite all the pre-meeting drama Kinivuwai is not expecting any fireworks on Monday.

He said the SDL’s demands will be the same as its rival Fiji Labour Party and that is to return Fiji to parliamentary democracy as quickly as possible.

“We are going with an open mind and one of our requests is to take the country back to election.

“We are firm with our decision and they (IG) will not dictate to us because they’ve got to understand that we command majority of support from the people.”

Kinivuwai also said if the interim Government is planning to negotiate within the bounds of the Charter then the party will have reservations about the meeting.

“The SDL party is happy that we’ve got a chance to talk with the interim Government and other political parties. We view this as positive but let’s hope that this does not come to an abrupt stop.”

Bainimarama said that political party leaders and the international community should accept that elections will not be held in March next year.

  16. LUVfiji Says:

Sure thing.. Ablaze – as you correctly said sustainability is the buzzword for the rest of the world. Yep, for the rest of the world. Unfortunately, not so for us. Are we with the rest of the world?

  17. Adi Kaila Says:

that weak man bainimarama or bipolar pig as he now known will not agree nor will he compromise while he has the comfort of the military with their guns on his side – that my dear bloggers is the only reason he is able to shoot his mouth off – without the military and the guns he’s an irrelevant bit of crap floating down Nabukalou Creek.

This is another photo opportunity for him – fugly bastard!

  18. Peace Pipe Says:

This madman is like a malignant cancer that is killing the nation and therefore must be got rid of. All sorts of treatment has been tried and failed thus far so an operation to remove the cancer has to be done or else the country is doomed to surely die. Like a real cancer if removed in time can save the rest of the body this cancerous dictator has to be removed to save the country. Time and effort have proven to be futile and he is hell bent on his course on destroying the country as his latest rantings has proven. We must therefore think in the context of how are we going to remove him for our survival.

  19. Adi Kaila Says:

PP – he’ll destroy himself before he destroys the Nation. It’s his fate, that’s why he’s missing the vital ingredients that makes a strong, honest, intelligent human being. he is his own malignant cancer – almost in full bloom.

  20. Cakau Says:

Peace Pipe your description needs to be posted so we can discuss it. Then again it is simple clear that there is nothing to discuss.

Like Adi Kaila says that is his fate to self destruct not only himself but those that follow his footsteps.

Bloody arogant bastard. The immunity that he thinks is protecting him and his cronies isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.

The ruling handed down by the three stooges means nothing to us.It’s this bullshit immunity business that will allow for future coups.

The talks on Monday is just a sham. After the talks,we’ll still be back to where we are now. They are still guilty in our eyes and will be made to pay one way or the other.Nothing has changed.

interfering in Fiji politics is now interfering in NZ politicsInterim PM pleads for Clark’s removal .

    Friday, October 24, 2008

Update: 12:37PM Interim Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama has appealed to ethnic Fiji Indians in New Zealand to overthrow Prime Minister Helen Clark and Trade Minister Phil Goff in next months general election, reports Stuff NZ.

Commodore Bainimarama told Auckland’s Tarana Radio yesterday that Miss Clark wanted to be ‘Queen’ of the Pacific.

According to Commodore Bainimarama, there was nothing worse for Fiji than her (Ms Clark).

“I might be able to help by pleading to the Indo-Fijians in New Zealand not to vote for her and Phil Goff,” he said.

  27. Colin Bishop Says:

At least he is aware of the power of a vote

  28. Adi Kaila Says:

    Ho Ho Ho

Helen Clark is a legally elected Prime Minister not a murderous thieving treasonous git like the interferring bipolar pig who thinks himself the leader of Fiji.

His ignorance is on full display again with the stupidity of his utterance that Helen Clark wants to be Queen of the Pacific and for the ‘ethnic Fiji Indians’ (WTF are they?) not to vote for her.

This is a good time for the Kiwi immigration officials to check all the details of incoming ‘ethnic Fiji Indians’ and round up the ones who are overstaying & boot them out.

  29. Peace Pipe Says:

Helen Clark knows only too well the type of forked tongue liar this feral pig is, having lied straight faced to her in Wellington in 2006 which is why she is very outspoken against the pig.

This fool thinks if Helen Clark goes he will be happy. He can’t even think beyoung his porky nose the stupid bastard that whoever is elected will still hold the same opinion of him and distance him or her from a crooked dictator. Just like Kevin Rudd is doing right now after taking over from John Howard. The saying goes that it is better to deal with the devil you know than the one you don’t.

  30. Cakau Says:

Helen Clarks says – Frankly this is absurd – do we need to say more!

What have we Fijians done to deserve having a lunatic bring so much shame to our country and ourselves.

Can someone tell me what would be going on in the minds of his foolish supporters – surely they would not agree to this political incorrectness.

  31. Adi Kaila Says:

    Isa Cakau

That’s something we just cannot fathom.

Although it has been obvious from 5.12.06 that the usual losers who did not succeed or reach positions they craved for because they were bloody incompetent were quick to come out from under their dank rocks to ride the lucrative gravy train that is the ig and take Fiji backwards like them – backward in their actions and mindset.

    There goes the neighbourhood!

  32. NaVoreEnaVoreGa Says:

Bainimarama should not hide behind other peoples backs when issuing his threats. How about he sail the Kula on his own and invade NZ to overthrow Helen Clarke. Why get dirty Indians to do his dirty work?

The same applies in Fiji. Those soldiers up at QEB are too dumb to realise that Bainimarama is a lamusona who cannot go and face his enemies himself. His record of katukatu from battle speaks for itself.Instead he manipulates the stupidity of his troops to cause trouble then hides behind their backs while they go and commit the crimes for him.He then enjoys the fruits while they get the scraps. This is not a true soldier but a coward and boci.

I challenge Bainimarama or any of the boci’s in command to a fair go.One on one and the winner becomes the real commander. The army and the Fiji people deserve a leader with real courage and bravery instead of a bully and coward who hides behind peoples backs.

Common Voreqe, email me on and just you and I arrange a secret location to decide who is the man.

Kakua tiko na gusu katakatavakayalewa ka kalumu tiko na sona. Just address me as Commander Dina.

  34. amazon Says:

@ NaVoreEnaVoreGa – I like yr spirit but it wouldn’t be Vore (Pig) if he attempted to show up at all, most probably wud send Dirty-Driti… these birds of a feather, all feeling cornered n needing 2 hve each other’s back.

WELL….. I guess we can only be HOPEFUL at a positive outcome from 2moro’s dialogue betwn the military junta and political party leaders.

BUT….. if all fails, then what? I wud hope these leaders come together and get a groundswell of peaceful resistance, passive or active in the form of a general strike going etc. There’s too much at stake to be tip-toeing around these bullies. What would their grandchildren think of them when become old enough to understand that when it mattered most, at a time when our Constitution was being destroyed (in fact if not in name), they just all sat back and continued to eye each other suspiciously across a self-imposed racial divide. This is no longer a time for digging heels in or indulging in partisan politics, not at a time when our Constitutional freedoms such as the right to ballot, our freedom of express our disgust at the junta openly amongst other things, to privacy from tapped telephone call to warrant-less invasions and them some, to moving in and out of the country freely and most importantly, the freedom of our PRESS are at stake. This is about our goddamn rights as civilians. Let’s face it, they all continue to be deliberately encroached on a daily basis by the military junta, mostly on a subtle level. Those veiled threats seemed quite effective at keeping everyone suppressed… and for how long? We are a people used to our freedoms. It’s pointless trying to turn back the clock back in their bid to create their version of Utopia whilst depriving us of our freedoms. We are where we are. So NvEvG, save yr energy and let’s wait to act collectively. I live for the day to see Vore & cronies do their time behind bars.
