Let’s be that itch that you just can’t get to !

  2. Mark Manning Says:

I was just reading the story in this mornings Fiji Times and wondered who was watching the Police who were watching the prisoner beaten recently , in the memorial Hospital ?
After-all , he is now a witness against those who assaulted him and a potential danger to those men !
What is there to stop those who tortured and assaulted him from going to the Hospital and killing him to stop him giving evidence against them ?
He remains unconscious I believe or at least in a critical condition .
Like the young boy who went to Hospital with a fractured arm last year , this man could be given the wrong injection or too large a dose !
We’ll see what happens this time around .

  3. LUVfiji Says:

The Police have reinforced their watch over the battered prisoner with their own!

The escapee’s family are angered and concerned at the extent of injuries received at the hands of the Police on his recapture. They say his face is unrecognisable, both hands battered, and a toe almost severed.

Im amazed at how you’re keeping abreast of the happenings here, Manning. I believe the escapee’s family have threatened retaliation against the Police on watch at the Hospital.

Sadly, in the face of a malfunctioned Human Rights Commission, this is another pic of Fiji’s changing image!

  4. Fiji Democracy Now Says:

This is a great tribute to the men and women who are keeping Fiji’s democracy alive in cyber space. They are truly our “unsung heroes” as this video states. Go Solivakasama! Go the Freedom Bloggers!

  8. ex Fiji Tourist Says:

At last the answer to the huge, illegal payout to bananasinpyjamas.
chadopu$$ authorised the payout because he has manipulated the judiciary to award him millions from the moronic military.

“”The compensation case of Mahendra Chaudhry against the Fiji Military Forces has been adjourned to September.
Chaudhry and Doctor Ganesh Chand are claiming damages from the Military, for their 56 days of being held hostage, during the 2000 coup.
both parties have been directed to finalise their submissions, before a Judge will be appointed to their case.””

Talk about corruption; even mugabe doesn’t sink this low.

  9. Save the sheep Says:

Lets not forget the big pay out that Bainipajamas and a few officers receive 2 weeks ago

  11. Maqa a Leqa Says:

    @eFT

The $2m kept in Mai Chodo’s Australian acount should be enough to compensate him and all his Labour colleagues who were detained in Parliament.

There is no need for this claim!

Ex-SDL minister to face US court
    30 JUL 2008
    ——————————————————————————–

Ousted SDL government minister Adi Asenaca Caucau is to appear in an American court tomorrow.

She has been charged with assault in San Francisco, California.

Director Immigration Commander Viliame Naupoto told Fijilive that
Adi Asenaca showed her diplomatic passport while being questioned.

“We have received the information from our Embassy in Washington but I don’t know what the charge is and which court she will be appearing in,” he said.

Naupoto said she had been using the diplomatic passport since January.

“She was to hand over the passport when she was no longer a minister,” he said.

Adi Asenaca left Fiji straight after the 2006 coup and has been living and working in the United States.

She was Minister for Women and Culture in the SDL-led government.
