Are we under attack?

Dear Soli

Here’s an article you might like to consider. It would help explain to our
readers what is going on. It looks like someone is trying to hack our site.
Fortunately, as explained in the article, we think we have the situation under

Are we under attack?

As of 5 pm four days ago the FDN site has not been what it should be. Due to
the “symptoms” we can detect, we strongly suspect we have been the victims
of a cyber attack, but we cannot be sure.

But we have taken a number of measures that gives us confidence our website
will not succumb.

We still haven’t got the full picture, but what we do know is that every time we
try and upload new data on the FDN website; it just freezes or crumbles.

However, at least for the time being, all material uploaded beforehand, going
back to our launch in August last year, remains accessible to anyone visiting
the site.

To make matters worse, the one member of our team who possesses IT skills
and knowledge (he set up the site) is in the US visiting relatives after paying a
visit to his family in Fiji, so we have to await his return before we have any real
chance of sorting this problem out.

In the meantime, we have been able to make a “mirror” of the complete FDN
website so that, in the unfortunate event it should crash completely, we will be
able to resurrect it in the future.

Obviously, we still have access to email, so we can continue to post on SV.

We are very grateful to SV for giving us this opportunity to advise fellow
democracy supporters what’s going on.

We sincerely hope that it won’t be long before FDN’s website is alive and
kicking (the regime!) again.

FDN,I wouldn’t be suprised if pro-coup supporters abroad like Nikhil Singh et al are behind these moves.

SV is also concerned about the security of this site and is taking appropriate measures

There’s definitely something ‘phishy’ going on.
Whenever I enter a post on this blog, my ‘activity’ window will only show me eg 10 items out of 15.
In other words, there are 5 ‘hidden’ items / actions going on.
I have a software that will phuck up any site trying to sabotage my workstation, and I know it’s fired up at least twice while I’ve been on this blog.

Any IT-savvy bloggers out there – have you got any incredible cyber-protection you can recommend to the SV community?

    God bless Fiji

On TV last night it was revealed that the ghandu goons media cell would be relocated from the camp to the Minfo. at govt buildings.

This would enable the thick lipped bugler to do do his job as Dep Sec. and goon spokesman.
Being located close to his boss,we know just exactly what his thick lips will also be used for.

The harder they try, the harder they fall..

Whatever they do to shut us down only strengthens our FIGHT. Blogsphere is ours!

    Blog on, ragone.

Whilst we blog against a tyrant illegal and abominible ig we must also be on our guard and wary of these sorts of counters from them. Yeah we could use our network to secure some help in this area. Remember its a cyber war we are waging and we also need defense whilst on the attack. Many of our comrades have been victims of the ig’s counter attacks.

Well, we are back……and kicking the IR again. Just look at our latest “What’s This” entry, with the link to the Disaster Diaries story on Chodopu$$ and his ill-gotten gains. The truth will prevail.

@Vasiti Osborne: saw your posting, thanks. Don’t know why it took a long time to load, as our site seems to be working OK now. Please keep up the support!
