Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year

May the Almighty grant us our prayers and truly cleanse our God Forsaken Country in 2008 so we may have that clean and fair election in March 2009.

We are taking a break as some of use take to the Islands while others journey up to the highlands. Look after your family and remember this is the most important time of the year to be with your family and take time to seek and experience the true meaning of Christmas.

As a parting thought for 2007 we draw you attention to the British Royal Family. Exactly 50 years ago, the Queen made her very first TV Christmas Message. Today, the Monarch launched its official YouTube Channel and in it you can play and listen to this noble message of Christmas.

We would like to invite you all to play and listen to the message, because it’s relevance to us could not be more appropriate considering the turmoil we had to endure as a nation for the last 12 months.

I have quoted part of this beautiful message below:

That it is possible for some of you to see me today is just another example of the speed at which things are changing all around us. Because of these changes I am not surprised that many people feel lost and unable to decide what to hold on to and what to discard. How to take advantage of the new life without losing the best of the old.

But it is not the new inventions which are the difficulty. The trouble is caused by unthinking people who carelessly throw away ageless ideals as if they were old and outworn machinery.

They would have religion thrown aside, morality in personal and public life made meaningless, [honesty] counted as foolishness and self-interest set up in place of self-restraint” (Elisabeth ER 1957 Christmas Message).

God Bless Fiji.

Moce 2007! See you in 2008!!

This article is from FIJILIVE –
PM spends Christmas in the Middle East
    25 DEC 2007

Fiji’s interim Prime Minister and military commander Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama is spending Christmas with the Fiji troops serving in the Middle East.

Bainimarama was scheduled to return yesterday but has been extended due to two reasons, one of which is to spend more time with the soldiers on peacekeeping duties there.

His permanent secretary, Parmesh Chand told fijilive that Bainimarama also extended his stay in the Middle East because of “logistic reasons”.

He said the interim PM was travelling in very diverse locations, which needed review of its itinerary every now and then.

“The other reason was mainly because PM Bainimarama wanted to spend more time and spend Christmas with the troops. And this is a special one because this is the first time a Fiji prime minister spent Christmas with the troop,” Chand said.

He said Bainimarama is not due back in the country until December 28.

Bainimarama is accompanied by his wife and two officials.

IN THE MIDDLE EAST REALLY HAVE vore UNDER HOUSE ARREST or leave him stranded in the desert for the “2000 km CAMEL DUNG DASH”******

    Flight cancellations delay Voreqes return
    Friday, December 28, 2007

INTERIM Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama’s trip to and from the Middle East has been delayed by flight cancellations, says military spokesman Sitiveni Qiliho.

“He was supposed to be back in the country before Christmas but due to flight cancellations in Iraq beyond his control, he spent Christmas in Iraq,” said Lieutenant-Colonel Qiliho.

“His movement into Iraq was delayed for a day as well due to the nature of military operations there, which did not allow him to go on the scheduled flights from Egypt to Iraq.

“The same is happening now his trip out of Iraq has been delayed and the flow-on effect has led to rescheduling of his flights.”

Lt-Col Qiliho said Commodore Bainimarama would not be arriving home today.

It is understood that connecting flights and transit routes mean that Commodore Bainimarama will most likely be in the country on Monday morning.

A Department of Information statement said Commodore Bainimarama had spent Christmas with Fiji troops serving in Baghdad.

The statement said the interim PM’s day began with a 5am church service on Christmas Day, with a farewell service later in the evening.

It said Commodore Bainimarama spoke to troops who were manning checkpoints in Irbil, which is located close to the Turkish and Iranian borders through video conferencing.

The statement said most of the soldiers were in good spirit and wanted to send their warm wishes and Christmas greetings to their relatives at home.

SO, where in all this does the elusive truth lie… I doubt in S. Qiliho’s words !!!!

  23. tualeita Says:

I would not be surprised if VB will not be here next week either. Now the latest news on FijiTimesOnline says that there’s security situation in Bagdad and that VB will not be here until 31 December.

  24. vukivuki Says:

Ok, Parmash Chand Vore secretary has also skipped the country on a strange Visa to New Zealand. How come NZ allowed his Visa maybe he is asking for a refugee status since he realised that Vore in under arrest and he might as well leave before he also end up in Naboro as Vore allies? WHOSE NEXT?

  25. Kalokalovulakeisiga Says:

Could be true…strange isn’t it…may be he is trading inside info for immunity with NZ authorites….

  26. Tule Says:

Just wait and see. Something is on the horizon, lets hope its for the betterment of our nation. The unemployment rate in our country have reached the all time high in the history of democracy in our country. Unless someone get this guy out the trend will continue on and soon or later canibalism will return.

  27. Dauvavana Says:

Well first of all the media was being told that he was spending Christmas in Sinai, then all of a sudden it changed to Baghdad. Can someone just organise a roadside car bomb to blow him up and put an end to all our misery.

  28. Rokobatidua Says:

Io Dau,lets pray to the Lord to make it so!!!

  29. kuku Says:

Isa Dauvavana, you’ve just said the words we’re all been afraid to say, vana na bastard and make it so as the Roko said above. Why don’t someone get hold of The “Real Jack” the Bush Lawyer from Fiji Exile Board to mosyon down to Bagdad and bulsyte someone to assasinate this Voreqe mother or ask the GDEV from FijiExileBoard, to come to Fiji and lead a people Revolution against these bunch of idiots? So what’s it going to be? I still think that the story by sheik that the Vore was under arrest is true lets see if he is back in the country today according to Qiliho or whatever his freakin name?

  30. kaiwai Says:

well done dauvavana, we’re all looking forward to that..what a good memory to say goodbye to 2007…worst year ever for Fiji.

and by the way who is this Qili – ho..?

Sheik can you confirm your story?

  31. Dauvavana Says:

So, is the pig back or what? Wasn’t he supposed to arrive last night?

My bet is, he is out there wasting our tax dollars as he procrastinate on decisions he needs to make when his back like the cabinet re-shuffle and the shock decisions landed on him like the Chodo without warning and cunningly via the 2008 budget made a cabinet re-shuffle downgrade for him and Gusuivakaika not knowing, when all of a sudden the Fijian Affairs ministry has been downgraded to Department of Indigenous Affairs.

  32. Frida Says:

Well I hope that Sheik is right and if so, Bainivore’s assumption that all the man in green are behind him is all gone. I hope they keephim there with Meri in a little hole like the one Saddam was found in.

No one in the IG is talking and his sidekick Parmesh has gone off to NZ to be with his wife who is supposedly sick. I doubt it – the lies are catching up with them and they have nowhere else to go.

What is happening to Aiarse – anybody seen or heard of him? He needs to tell us what is the situation in our country as we the tax payers have not been informed of who is in-charge while the captain is away spending our hard earned money?

  33. natewaprince Says:

  34. LUVfiji Says:

hi guys… unfortunately, he’s made it back into the country.

Lets just hope and pray that the New Year will bring good cheers!

A Blessed one to ya all!!

  35. kuku Says:

Hold it, i haven’t seen the Vore or Parmesh Chand either, so whose giving us the BS. Also listen to what Parmesh Chand said about his Boss? I’m sure Chodo, arseho and others are saying the same thing to foreign nations?

  36. Dauvavana Says:

Hey what’s happened to Resistfijicoup’s blog. It seems to have died as well???

It did not approve my postings of two days ago and now it appears to have been deleted.

Another one infiltrated by the goons???

  37. natewaprince Says:

    Very true D.

What the hell’s going on .Come back quickly SV.

  38. Frida Says:

Interesting times indeed – Fiji TV could not even give us a real picture of the pig when he arrived into the country – only showing us a pajero beiong driven off. Secondly, statements supposedly by Parmesh are only read out and no real pictures of Parmesh – what the heck is happening?

What is the legal status of our country now when there is no real head at the moment? Nailatikau is not even saying anthing so can someone please tell us what is going on.

The Fijian teachers Association is not happy with the Ministry of Labour response which was delayed – will children be going to school as planned?

But let’s all be patient because the future belongs to those who believe in truth, democracy and the rule of law.

It’s just a matter of time before Frank is taken on a drive down Reservoir Rd. All that remains to be revealed is whether he’s going to be dropped off at St Giles, Lovonilase or round the corner at the big gates of Korovou Prison.

  45. LUVfiji Says:

What happened to that other dick-head pretended to be intelligent at ATS? He’s resigned — ahead of the cabinet reshuffle? Could he be joining cabinet? Interesting?

    Any news, any one?

[I guess we can keep this site active until…]

  46. Peace Pipe Says:

I was having a peaceful time of my life during the festive seaon while the Vore was out of the country. As soon as he returned and started opening his stupid mouth and pouring out crap from it it started to give me the creeps. More lunatic comments from a lunatic military leader whose pea sized brain just couldn’t make any sense of anything he does or says. We must continually oppose this dicktaker to the very end in every way we can including our blogging sessions – information exchange, comments and suggestions, reporting intelligence findings and encouraging all freedom champions of our beloved nation to endure and carry on the crusade into the new year with renewed vigour and energy. We shall overcome.

I look forward to your blog. You are all dying slowly. There were others like Bainivore, Kutusebe ni vore. In fact this was supposed to be in the spirit of WFC. The spirit is dead.
Maybe we help them and bury all.

  52. Fiji Democracy Now Says:

Right on NP. Doors will keep opening as long as they are needed. If the FMF are taking the trouble to stop blogs it shows they’re working. If they’re paying stooges like SR it also shows that they worry about what is said in blogs (but I think they should be able to pay someone smarter than SR and I don’t mean Na Dina, who’s even dumber. What a pair! Dumb and Dumber)

    News of the day.

Yesterday Big Mama Bernie said she’s not going to contest the elections. You can forget the reasons she gives – she’s ‘an activist at heart’! The real reason is she knows she’s got no hope next time. She won in 2006 but after her IG collaboration her
name is mud. As for NGO work, where does she think an NGO will get funds for her?

Reading between the lines it sounds like she is preparing for a demotion to assistant minister for waste management.

Freedom bloggers take heart. This gang of thieves cannot last. It’s what they are saying themselves.

Just read the crap she’s spouting and see for yourself.

    Fiji Live 2 jan 2008

    I won’t contest 2009 polls: Rounds-Ganilau

Interim Labour, Environment and Tourism minister Bernadette Rounds-Ganilau says she does not intend to contest the 2009 General Elections.

Rounds-Ganilau told fijilive that she would like to continue her work in a Non-Governmental Organisation.

“I’m a activist at heart and am quite happy and content with that, and of course my age is also going so I will not be taking part in the upcoming election,” she said.

Rounds-Ganilau said like everyone else in the interim Government, she also faced many challenges in 2007 and will try to undertake her mandate more diligently this year.

“My new year’s resolution is to undertake my responsibilities given to me by the Prime Minister more diligently and try to be a better person and a better mother and wife”, she said.

Rounds-Ganilau added that her main focus for 2008 will be environmental issues in Fiji.

“In the last Cabinet meeting for 2007 we had decided to implement new environmental regulations, which will be under the Environmental Management Act in liaison with other government ministries,” she said.

Rounds-Ganilau said that the major problem in Fiji was waste management and waste disposal and stricter fines will be put in place to address that problem in the New Year.

“This year we are aiming at making Fiji a greener and cleaner nation”, she said.

  53. kuku Says:

Well,a week is gone and we haven’t seen the idiot Voreqe who was supposed to be back last Monday? Anyone seen him yet? Suddenly,Pita Driti is happy and hes even gives a middle finger to Vore Malaysia appointment and says that he really is not going and no one from the military will be allowed to go??? Strange, isn’t it? Something is going on?

  54. LUVfiji Says:

Voreqe is on leave after his meri krismas trip to the mid-east. Needs to get away from the rigmorale of politiks within this regime. Can be overwhelming, you know, when you got “them” crying from every direction. Who wants what, who wants to go where, who wants to be vp or pressie, dont let Ratu Naiqama back into politiks cos I want that constituency :-)!!
He’s a small boy… afterall, he was trained only to be within barracks!

  55. Peace Pipe Says:

Another case why the charter is an Indian charter. Our fellow methodists in the Indian circuit is calling for support of the charter. Since it favour the Indians naturally the race will support it. It would be better if they just support it quitely but to come out openly gives credence to the notion of being an Indian charter. Whatever reason they give for its support it doesnt change the fact that it is illegal being mooted by an illegal group of opportunists led by the brainless PIG himself. If the charter has merit let it be carried through by a legally appointed government. Meanwhile lets maintain our stand and oppose this evil military indiancharter. As it stands the charter is not by endorsed the majority of people in Fiji and is illegal.

  56. Frida Says:

Is it true that people of Lakeba who are living there are being made to crawl if they misbehave? I ahve just been informed this from a reliable source but it would be good to investigate further and if so, let the whole of Fiji know. Ului is supposedly behind this as he has statined some army officers on the island.

  57. anon Says:

Frida, stop this bullshit, come up with something constructive.

    Have a nice day.

  58. Rokobatidua Says:

I wouldn’t be surprise if the story is true, it happens during his grandfathers’reign who was also a sexual preditor who would screw anyone with a dress irespective of age, marital status, etc, etc. He likes to scare people so he can do whatever he wants with any woman in Lakeba! Seems to me his grandkids are following exactly the grandfather footsteps???

  59. Frida Says:

Anon at 8:10 on january 06 – all I am saying here is that someone who has just returned from Lakeba was saying this. It needs to be investigated unleass you live on the island can refute the claim then so be it.
