Suva Lawyer, Rajendra Chaudhry said he does not need to speak to his family before making public statements as he is an adult and he has his rights under the Constitution to express his opinions.
Chaudhry while commenting on Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama’s call this morning for Chaudhry to discuss the issues first with his family Chaudhry said that he is a taxpayer and quite capable of making statements before discussing it with his family.
Chaudhry is now saying it is inappropriate for Commodore Bainimarama to comment on FICAC and protect the Interim Attorney General.
After calls by Chaudhry to scrap FICAC, Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama said earlier today he was concerned at Chaudhry’s criticism of FICAC.
While, speaking in Fijian, Bainimarama said it is better for Rajendra Chaudhry to discuss the issues first with his family.
This news article reminds me of a song from the 1980s. The video clip use to have this fat drag queen belting out the words “You think you’re a man but you’re only a boy…………………….”
Rajend Prasad, a gentle reminder, it was Frank’s coup that put you in the Fiji Sports Council in the first place and it was your father who used that farmers fund from Haryana India to buy you that Australian property and pay your way through law school in Sydney. Without these two, you are nothing.
Your father, in all his crooked ways is still subsidising you to run a law firm by diverting all the Trade Unions and Fiji Labour Party cases to your firm.
So shut up and stop acting like a spoiled Brat!

Hi, I found this really interesting. So, I thought I’d stick it in here, that during the 2000 coup, Chodo’s relatives in India wanted to send the Indian Commando’s read on. If you want to read the whole lot its in the: http://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/prod/parlment/hanstrans.nsf/v3ByKey/LC20000524 – 397k –
The Hon. HELEN SHAM-HO [11.44 a.m.]: I support the motion moved by the Hon. I. M. Macdonald in relation to the political crisis in Fiji and the urgent need to end the terrorist coup against the democratically elected Government of Prime Minister Mahendra Chaudhry. As the Vice President of the New South Wales Parliament Asia Pacific Friendship Group, I support the motion. It is important that we maintain good relationships with our neighbour, as pointed out by the Hon. J. S. Tingle. I have never been to Fiji but I hope to visit there in the future and meet some members of Parliament.
I will highlight some of the major events so far that I know of. Some honourable members may not be aware that President Ratu Kamisese Mara has refused to guarantee that he will retain the Government of Prime Minister Mahendra Chaudhry after the crisis ends. Mara has taken a proposal to resolve the crisis to the Great Council of Chiefs. Following a security scare, Chaudhry was dragged out to the lawns of Parliament House and had a gun put to his head. Coup leader George Speight has admitted that Chaudhry was beaten up but denied that his men were responsible. Speight has warned foreign countries to stay out of Fijian affairs. Although he has said that he would retire if the chiefs do not support him, Speight has expressed his confidence in the Great Council of Chiefs.
The former Prime Minister and 1987 coup leader, Sitiveni Rabuka, has expressed sympathy with the coup attempt, but stated that he disagreed with its methods. Rabuka has revealed that members of a special forces army group were involved in the coup attempt. Fijian unions launched a national strike but later called it off to allow a political solution to the crisis. Although our Foreign Minister, Alexander Downer, declined to demand Chaudhry’s reinstatement, he stated his support for upholding the Fijian Constitution. Chaudhry’s relatives in India have called on the Indian Government to rush commandos to Suva for a military strike. Mr Speight’s demands, including a guarantee that the Prime Ministership be held only by an indigenous Fijian and the restoration of political supremacy to indigenous Fijians, will be considered by the Great Council of Chiefs.

Efforts on for non-racist regime in Fiji: Ex-premier
Sunit Dhawan
Tribune News Service
Rohtak, April 27
Efforts are being made to pave the way for the formation of a non-racist regime in Fiji. A 44-member national council, comprising 11 members of the interim government of Fiji and 33 representatives of the civil society (including social, religious and other sections), is in the process of preparing a charter relating to the issues of governance and electoral system for the purpose.
This was stated by former Fiji premier Mahendra Chaudhary, who is finance minister in the present interim government there, while talking to a group of mediapersons here today. Chaudhary was in the town on a personal visit.
He said the draft charter would be ready by this August and followed by a public debate on it in October. A referendum on it would be held in November or December. “The elections as per the new charter will be held tentatively in March 2009, for the installation of a non-racist regime in Fiji,” he added.
Regarding the purpose of his visit, Chaudhary explained that they were here to hold talks with the Indian government on certain issues related to the development of Fiji.
Chaudhary is heading a three-member delegation of the interim government of Fiji, which is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and finance minister P. Chidambaram on Wednesday.
Chaudhary, whose ancestors migrated to Fiji from Bahu Jamalpur village in Rohtak district nearly a century ago, is among the four ministers of Indian origin in the Fiji regime.

Media report not true: Chaudhry
Wednesday, May 28, 2008
Update: 5:10PM INTERIM Finance Minister Mahendra Chaudhry says the interim Government has always been very conscious of the needs of the poor in the society.
Mr Chaudhry said a newspaper report saying that the “State has no funds to help the poor” is totally untrue.
“Social Welfare Department’s allocation for the family assistance scheme was increased by $2million in 2007/2008. It went up from $16m under SDL government to $18m,” he said.
Mr Chaudhry said the interim Government has taken very positive measures to assist the poor and alleviate levels of poverty.
==========
And why did the scheme need to be increased by $2m?
Because the coup-coupsters have plunged most of the nation into poverty.
$16m, under SDL’s policies, was sufficient to care for those in poverty and sustain programmes to lift them out of their condition over time.
$18m, under this illegal regime, isn’t worth a drop in a bucket for the havoc and devastation Chodo and his minions have wreaked on our beautiful country.

FIJI INDIAN PLIGHT
INDIA SHOULD SEEK UNITED NATIONS INTERVENTION TO SEND PEACE KEEPING FORCE TO FIJI TO PROTECT INDIAN LIVES, PROPERTY AND TO RESTORE DEMOCRACY
Dravida Peravai launched a campaign on 1.6.2000
After launching the campaign in a Memorandum to Union External Affairs Minister and Union Defense Minister , Dravida Peravai said:
Our party yesterday organized state level campaign in the Pondicherry enclave of the Union Territory of Pondicherry to draw the attention on the urgent need to exert diplomatic and other pressure on the current illegal and unconstitutional government by coup and coup within coup to secure the release of the duly elected Prime Minister of Fiji Mr. Mahendra Pal Choudry and fellow Parliamentarians and to ensure proper protection to the properties and lives of the people of Indian origin, whom it seems are fleeing to Australia and New Zealand as they did when the coup of Colonel Rabuka in 1987. our party through these 10 meetings had demanded India to take up this issue to United Nations, an institution created at the collective will of the nations of the democratic era, which cannot remain a silent spectator to the hijacking of the democracy by gun trotting groups.
Mahakavi Bharathiar, the only poet who penned a poem on the plight of Indian women in the year 1916-17 had narrated how on promising jobs Britishers took Indians as contract labour to Fiji and treated them worse than the animals. They were slaves working in sugarcane fields, the poet lamented. As a befitting tribute to this great poet, our campaign to highlight Fiji crisis started from his memorial. We have to note that certain vested interests here are trying to twist this as a fight between indigenous communities and Indian settlers, who have usurped. According to Mr.S.K.Bhutani, a retired Indian diplomat the “land titles are coming up for review and renewal very soon and the indigenous Fijians who own land want to ensure a better deal for themselves. The lands are owned by the Fijians while those of Indian origin cultivate them. Vast tracts are under sugarcane and with Indian hands” [ The Hindu dated 1.2.2000 page 14]
This makes the position clear. From the time Bharathi penned his poem, people of Indian origin by sheer hard work without ownership yet remaining as tenants of lands belonging to Fiji’s indigenous people, have risen in life economically. As per the Constitution of Fiji Article 51:The House of representatives has proportionate electoral representation for Fijians, Indians and Rotumans. English, Fijian and Hindustani have equal status [Art;4(1)] So as per this constitution Mr.Mahendra Pal Choudry was chosen by the people to be the Prime Minister.
The Indian stand calling for restoration of this duly elected Government is the right step. We should also use diplomatic and other pressure to ensure that the 1997-98 Constitution should not be replaced by another which may disenfranchise people of Indian origin and upset the applecart.
We are not as one or two critics of our party say protecting Indian interests at the cost of indigenous peoples interest. We want Indian origin people to be equal citizens and not made second class citizens in the land of their living.
While Burma refugees came, India helplessly have to bear them. when plantation labour were driven out of Ceylon, our Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri went out of his way to accept them as stateless people by signing a pact with Srimavo Bandaranaike. Both morally and politically India buckled under during the Kenyan (1968), Ugandan (1972) and other crisis, including human rights violations by Americans, to convey the impression that Indians can be badly treated anywhere by anyone in the world with impunity and without remorse writes political commentator Rajiv Dhavan [ The Hindu 2.6.2000]. In our campaign yesterday much before we could read Dhavan’s article, we took the same stand. We know that when Ugandan Chief Idi Amin wanted to marry a rich Gujarati girl, her family had to abandon all properties and run back to India. In Pondicherry also we have a sugar mill which was shifted from Uganda due to these anti-Indian tirades,
When globe had shrunk into a village, while settlers from Europe and Africa get amalgamated and are rulers of the destiny of America, if people of Indian origin could be made second class citizens and driven back by a tiny island of Fiji, what is the purpose in India claiming to be a nuclear super power, if it cannot verbally threaten Fiji. From May 19 till yesterday, the day when India dispatched an emissary the delayed response and silence of all with the exception of Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala is condemnable. Let Government hereafter be quick to defend people of Indian origin.
5 years after this campaign Dravida Peravai General Secretary N.Nandhivarman, impressed by documentaries taken by Suresh Kumar Pillai of Trikkan Image systems on the travails of migrant labour wrote in
The New Indian Express-weekend (11.06.2005)

thanks for those kind words , at least cunts are useful !
The Nazi Party started because of unemployment and ignorance amongst the population of Germany . It had nothing to do with the U.S.S.R. There was also a degree of ignorance involved amongst the population , along with Hitler’s own manic behaviour and ability to stir the masses with his tyrannical speeches all about nothing . A bit like the Commander and his incompetent soldiers . And you reckon I’m ignorant

“We should also use diplomatic and other pressure to ensure that the 1997-98 Constitution should not be replaced by another”.
There is a system of proportional representation. Frank and Chodo have simply used the race card to push their agenda.
As I seem to repeatedly post, there is no solution ever to be gained by one group attempting to shit on another.
Frank and Chodo’s solutions are simply to repeat the sins of the former colonial masters. Respecting difference is portrayed as racist. It is nothing of the sort – it is respecting difference. In fact it is the future of the world following a hundred or more years of migration. There is no benefit in attempting to homogenise. Australia tried it with Aboriginees and others tried it elsewhere. It does not work.
If Chodo (and Shaista, and Yippe, and others) were genuine, they’d simply have lobbied for a democratic change under the existing ramework – except they’re too bloody self-obsessed, self-promoting and opportunist to ever countenance such an idea. Far easier to get some dimwit with a gun and a once proud following to execute a coup.
Maori waited over one hundred years to START to get some sort of justice. Their patience is indeed virtuous.
But, here we have one f*cked up bleached blonde fag hag with an education and an attitude, acting as protector for Bubba’s best interests throwing her tatty skirt into the ring. And a snide cunning shit house rat, knowing full well that age is getting the better of him and time is running out to be master of the universe, trying to short circuit the process. Why? Rajen has deserted you like the spoilt little brat he is – it ain’t worth it!
Rajen: how about you park your dad up in the Dame Edna Everidge Home for the Bewildered before he gets any more ideas on how to manage a country’s economy.
May 28, 2008 at 11:48 pm
Hey folks,
Something truly cooking here!!!. One thing is for sure. Rajend can never made these public utterances against the Interim Government without the full support of his father . For those who know the Senior Mahendra Chaudhry’s multi-split personality, his son’s current anti Government behaviour is to be expected at this stage. Rajen’s utterances are very much part of the family’s game plan. We must realise that the Chaudhry tricks are already at work here and that this is very much part of their exit strategy. Realising that time is against him in terms of his political career, Senior Chaudhry in his usual deceptive manner is giving his son all the ammunition and support to pursue his career path in the political arena and what better way to do it then to be identified with those of us who stand for the truth and the Rule of Law!!. Chaudhry Senior in his usual deceptive self will play down all these developments and pretend [he's an expert in pretending] that he has nothing to do with it. As they say, like father, like son”..Lets not be roped in easily to the snake’s web and vernom. They are preparing to strike and you know what?..It will be Voreqe and his soldier Boys who will be their next victims. Watch it folks. That is the way things are being planned by the Chaudhry’s and these unexpected turn of events on what is becoming an unusual development must be accepted as the way things will be for Chaudhry to regain his lost grassroot support base. Do they still have those support base intact???..My advise to Voreqe and the Boys from Delainabua-don’t you ever lose them now. They will put you all in Prison and spare the last laugh to themselves..

Of course the Boss has to begin to separate himself , his family and friends from the Commander , now that he thinks he has what he wants .
The question remains , will this unstable , arrogant , self appointed saviour of Fiji , give himself up to the authorities once a Democratically elected Government is reinstated and has him arrested .
It will be interesting to see how long before the Commander has Chaudhry , the boss , arrested , so that the Commander may keep the upper hand !
Let the games begin !

@Fijigirl – dead on. Chodo says the poor relief funds have been increased to $18m from $16m. Yet Chodo says that those living below the poverty line have increased from 33% to 50% of the population. This shows the level of SDL’s funding for poverty relief was 25% more for those living below the poverty line. So what increase is Chodo bragging about?
May 29, 2008 at 2:07 pm
Meanwhile trips to Vanuatu, Geneva, Korea, Italy for the coup makers continue. Baini , Nailatikau and Chaudhry must be in a constant state of jet lag.
Meanwhile poverty reaches 50%, tourist numbers drop, we continue to lose our jobs, those that are hungry steal and rob others to live, hotels continue to lay off workers and the inhuman rights commissioner turns her back on human rights abuses in our country.
BTW – has Patrick Wong suddenly turned coup sympathiser with his comments recently ?

FICAC Has Not Won A Case
Publish date/time: 29/05/2008 [11:06]
Suva lawyer Rajendra Chaudhry said it’s not correct to say that the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) has gained success after laying corruption related charges on some prominent people.
While speaking to Fijivillage, Chaudhry stressed that FICAC has not even won a single case and the Interim Attorney General should stop praising the unit.
Chaudhry has also questioned if FICAC has been set up to charge only prominent people.
Chaudhry added if FICAC wants to prosper then it should employ people who are really familiar with the law.
May 30, 2008 at 8:52 am
Oooh, dat bad old puddie tat Wajendwa the Wancid – he must weally be spitting his dummy now!
