What’s going on with that well-known fisticuffs expert, coup enforcer,
would be ambassador to Malaysia and (former?) RFMF Land Forces Commander,
Pita Driti?
Is he going or staying? Is he doin or sittin? And why is he being paid the
handsome salary of a colonel all the while?
Here’s a quick recap on this guy’s recent career achievements:
As land forces commander under Bainimarama he is understood to have led
the army’s swoop on the police ammunition supplies that had been landed in
Suva just days before the coup.
In a clumsy attempt to create a conspiracy scenario that would have Fiji’s
police receiving illicit support from overseas forces, he launched a
barely
coherent verbal attack on then police commissioner Andrew Hughes.
Assuming the mantle of anthropologist, he attempted this definition of
Hughes, with a thinly veiled threat thrown in for good measure:
“Hughes being a non-citizen and having a totally different cultural
background, does not have the necessary expertise to engage successfully
in the local context.
“We would like to state our disappointment to him and inform him to tread
very carefully on the path he has now taken,”growled the Neanderthal land
forces commander.
Immediately after the 5 December 2006 coup Driti literally tried his hand at
cosmetic surgery and got quite a name for himself as he employed his big
fists to re-arrange a number of faces of people who were dragged up to his
“clinic” at QEB.
Then he miraculously morphed into a warrior of cyber space as he led the
hunt for the freedom bloggers, an exercise distinguished by his loud
blurts to the media and bugger-all results on the hunt front.
Whether it was to repay him for being a loyal thug, or simply to get him
as far away from Fiji as possible — is something we may never know. But in
short order Driti was named as ambassador-designate to Kuala Lumpur.
From the outset we were somewhat sceptical about the ability of those big
mashing mitts of his to daintily balance a cocktail glass with an hors
d’ouvre while discussing the finer points of the previous day’s diplomatic
charity golf tournament.
Seems the Malaysians were similarly ill at ease with the spectre of this
lethal punk being accorded accreditation so they diplomatically refrained
from saying anything.
The implications of this took several months to dawn on the illegal interim
government but, finally, on 3 January Driti announced that he “welcomed” the
fact that he wasn’t going to be an ambassador.
So, after starring roles as a land forces commander, anthropologist,
cosmetic surgeon, pioneering cyber explorer and (almost) distinguished
diplomat, what’s the next big role for the vicious, ambitious, thuggish
Driti?
And what’s he going to do to justify his salary? On that point, exactly
WHO is paying his salary on behalf of the taxpayer? Is it the army? Or,
given his recent status as ambassador-in-waiting, is it the foreign
ministry?
We can’t wait to find out what the next role for this deadly dangerous loose
cannon might be.
Argus Tuft
It was rather ironic that after receiving the above article from Argus Tuft, we were entertained (or tortured) with this piece of literacy by our man of the moment Mr “D” published in todays Fiji Time’s Letters to the Editor section.
So now we can also say he’s a prophet or poet or…….well I don’t know.
Reading through the piece below, I was really stumped! Either he has just finished a roll of the poison weed or had been talking to his plants again. Well you guys try and figure this one out!
Powerful Eagle
Oh USA the powerful “Eagle” to you democracy is fair and the answer to life’s quandaries.
Oh USA the powerful “Eagle” to invade Iraq and the present daily loss of lives is fair.
Your own young lives wasted in the battle field of a foreign land and with the innocent, die everyday.
Perhaps for democracy or perhaps for oil.
Oh USA the powerful “Eagle” only you can invade another sovereign nation.
But it is for democracy you the big powerful “Eagle” are always quick to declare.
To an eagle there are no boundaries;
To hunt is the eagle for whatever the spoil;
For the nest is important and as for the oil.
Oh USA the powerful “Eagle” you rule the skies and beyond the horizon are your dreams.
The whole world to rule as the eagle spreads its wings.
Oh USA who then are we, the weaker nations, to dare?
God bless Fiji.

He probably don’t know it
And now he commentates
On the United States
As if he can judge morals
The way he settles his quarrels
With a biff and a barn
No excuse, what a sham!
At the end of the day
Im so sad to say
Hes got the brain of a thug
Kinda matches his mug
Mores the pity
Theres a Pita bloody Driti

Could someone please hunt down a poem that Driti wrote to the Fiji Times…. Its crying our Plagirism ….!! definately copied from a school poetry competition …. !!
March 1, 2008 at 7:45 pm
I was sort of surprised and amused when I saw this poem by muppet driti. I was wondering what the hell is happening to this neanderthal. Must be an attempt to get some attention since it seemed like he was mothballed and kept in the cellar and kept out of sight which was quite a respite for us not having to see or hear all the dribbles from him. He must be going coo coo for just hanging around and doing nothing like he used to with all the new trades he acquired such as SS, Gestapo, Cometic surgery, ambassador and now he is trying a hand in peotry. I give the poem d- for making no sense or intent and a waste of newspaper space. Maybe we need to book him for check up at the pig’s usual mental rehab clinic down reservoir rd.
March 1, 2008 at 9:27 pm
Actually it was a very clever move by the FijiTimes to publish dimwiti’s “poem” as it now shows all Fijians [ and others] that he is a fool.
But then again, WE already knew that.

@ Tebara – Have you heard CoP Teleni on television? English is not my first language, but the guy cannot conjugate to save his life. The singular is pluralised and vice versa, he begins a sentence in the past tense and then goes to future tense halfway through. Nouns and verbs all over the place and he observes none of the basic grammatical rules we were taught in school. Where did he go to school?
I am not a teacher, but I mention this because if his level of spoken English is extremely poor (for the position he holds) how is he communicating, with members of the Force and oher stakeholders when he has to write memos, letters, reports, cabinet papers etc? Sometimes Vayeshnoi, for all his mangled direct translation from FijiHindi sounds more articulate.
Isn’t the issue of coherent commands and the ability to communicate clearly an important qualification for military and naval officers?

I thought the police force has gone mad again still again fasting thinking there prayers will be heard n how silly for full chow teleni to talk abot spiritual warfare when he himself is caught in the devils den lol.. have a look at todays report:
Police fast for divine intervention in their roles says Teleni
Police officers around the country will on the first week of every month fast to improve their roles says Police Commissioner Esala Teleni.
Mr Teleni said his officers started the trend from last year and it seemed to build the spiritual morale in the force.
“We started off with three weeks fasting leading up to Christmas and we continued in January and February so we want to maintain that,” he said.
Mr Teleni said fasting was not compulsory but he encouraged all officers to participate as they were not fighting against human but spiritual forces and seriously needed to control crime increase in Fiji.
“It is something that I encourage every member of the police force to observe.
“To be frank I know that some people don’t respect that and I wouldn’t enforce it,” he said.
Mr Teleni said he wanted to build a spiritual life within the force and among individuals to trickle into their families and society as a whole. Now our police force is stronger then ever and full of wisdom thanks to our fasting and praying session.
“It will be very hard to combat crime, because we are not fighting a physical battle it’s more a spiritual warfare, fighting mindsets and we need divine intervention.
“I firmly think there are a lot of people that can testify fasting is really a tool to gain spiritual strength, and that is why I am using it,” he said.
End of story

exactly EFT. As Michael Field says – “the largely unemployable” draining the economy.
That’s why they’re desperately looking for a purpose to justify their existence. Its a shame that while they are, RFMF “leadership” hasn’t put more effort in providing them with education, trades and useful professions, and put them to productive use in improving infrastructure and assisting Fijians and the economy.
But there is a reason for that. They (the “leadership”) need them to remain ill-informed, unquestioning and as thick as possible so that they will continue to blindly follow illegal orders and remain dependant. Imagine the threat to Frank and his ego if they actually became smarter and more productive than him with better future prospects and options. While it is “their lot” in life with few other prospects, the cycle can continue. That is of course until the wage bill can no longer be sustained. At the moment they’re like a self-fulfilling prophecy feeding off the population and propping up personal agendas.
Reputation and pride is obliously an illusion
March 2, 2008 at 2:13 am
On the second week of every month, unless it is a leap year, and after fasting has been successful, the Force will indulge in a progamme of watching Jane Fonda fitness videos.
In the third week of every month Chuck Norris has got them testing home gymnasiums and building six-packs.
In the fourth week of every month, the first 3 days will be devoted to analysing the success of the programme; the following 2 days brainstorming sessions are to be implemented now that Telenis Force is moving towards spiritually enlightened, fit, six-pack toting impeccbly dressed, image conscious human specimens we should all admire and aspire to.
The last two days in every month the phone lives will be open to take YOUR calls , and to fighting crime. That is, of course minus the time taken for the Shaista to conduct workshops that will include lectures on Human Rights, tips on the tricks drug abusers use to cover their tracks, and pistol shooting – how to aim when you’re stoned, physically weakened after a week of fasting, or you just need to try and convinve everybody (unsuccessfully usually) that you’ve got your shit together.
Teleni: give us a break! Check out that Monty Python movie where the slob with the slob with the ever-increasing waistline finally explodes due to his own over-indulgence, greed and avarice.

For all of Driti’s sins (and lousy poetry is the least of them), don’t forget – The Fish Stinks From the Head. The real enemy is Chodo and Puppet Pig. Bula Malaya for saying “Terimakasi, but No”
March 2, 2008 at 6:11 am
Driti is starting to come out of his shell for one reason alone, his fling with one of his extra kitchens has turned sour.
It seems his one time squeeze is leading the battle to expose the tax evasion of Chodoman.Read the bylines in the Times immediately after Chodo’s exposure to find out who I’m talking about.
You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure this one out.
March 2, 2008 at 8:04 am
NP, all these articels are merely coming from confused sources who have lost direction and trying very hard to get back on track.
Look at the the different series of events that had taken place after the REVELATION of MC’S tax affairs. They have countered very very strongly but there is one thing they are forgetting….the case is not over yet…do you think FIRCA officials are stupid? They are just playing their cards right and just waiting for when the time is right…..his case will be re-activated, if not next year, 5 years time, 10 years or even if he dies, he will not escape.

I am glad I took the opportunity to write to the Malaysian Human Rights Commission to expose the details of brutality in Fiji perpetrated by Driti under the the Fiji Military on the people of Fiji. I strong;y urged them to oppose Driti;s appointment. The Malaysian Human Right’s email addressed was widely circulated by bloggers who asked people to use and flood the organisation with demands against Driti and FMF.
Vore, Driti and Teleni need a bullet each in their brain

The labour party has just recognised that the regime they themselves have supported , is not committed to elections in March .
And , the regime has acknowledged that no one in the IG knows how to use a phone , landline or mobile , and that they don’t know how to use a computer either . Apart from the lack of communication between the Courts and Government ( pretend Government as it’s turning out to be ! ) it’s becoming obvious just what the separation of powers means in Fiji . They are so separated that one hand doesn’t know what the other is doing . I mean , even to admit that the Court order didn’t reach the Nadi Airport in time , is an admission of gross incompetence on the part of this silly regime . It’s interesting to note , that although there was no communication about the Court order , that the Army , disguised as Immigration Officials ( an act which in itself is illegal ! ) was carried out at 1 am ! So , someone in the Military knew about the court order and yet pretended they didn’t . Could you trust this mob in the future ?

Extracts from the FTimes this morning…Everything thats happening is full of coverups…
Running for cover
LOOKING from the outside in it is all so clear who’s on whose side and it has become kind of amusing to watch people scrabbling to cover their behinds.
It is amusing in the sense that in the process of covering up whatever they are trying to cover up they further damage their reputation, lose the respect and support of different sectors within society and only make a fool of themselves.
I quote Madea from the comedy Madea goes to Jail: “If you lie once, you are bound to tell another eight lies to cover up that one lie.”
It is not easy telling the truth but on the plus side, it makes life more fulfilling and keeps those grey hairs away.

News just in
“” A review on the Fiji media suggesting that all existing work permits in the industry not be renewed has been described as foolish by one media organisation.
“I think it’s very foolish,” he said.
Parkinson said if this report is implemented, it should also apply to expatriates working for the Government.
“Why pick on the media?” he asked. “”
So using jimbob’s deranged logic:-

Air Pacific will have to sack most of their pilots and navigators
etc.

Oie lei sa mai tukuni va ka ca tu na majestic eagle by this wannabe intelligent criminal.
Such a fool, to associate this maganifcent bird, the emblem of USA with his power hungry warped mind.
They say what you write reflects on the type of person you are and symbolizes what is in your mind. So true!
Using democracy as a fair excuse to solving all life’s problems by the USA. Democracy was a smoke screen for the invasion of Iraq for oil and finishing off with USA wanting world supremacy. Bizzare! Bizzare!
Dopey! we know that is what they want, to be like the USA and have all that to do whatever you want!
Bloody doce! Sega ni kila that the USA emblem symbolizes freedom and not power.
Ca ga want to be smart fart.

Dopey! we know that is what they want, to be like the USA and have all that POWER to do whatever their want.
That is what I meant to say!
Maude M. Grant explains; “The eagle represets freedom. Living as he does on the tops of lofty mountains, amid the solitray grandeur of Nature, he has unlimited freedom, whether strong pinions he sweeps into the valls below, or upward in the boundless spaces beyond.”
We need some calming effect on this Sunday.
March 2, 2008 at 1:15 pm
Aint it ironic that the ‘clean up’ and transparency issues are really being applied to the ig morons. Things we have never known are being divulged, hidden manipulative and scheming plots are exposed ..what next.
Great attempt to write a parallel to the eagle but how can a vulture or bulbull even venture there. In the book of Proverbs the way of an eagle is even a mystery and the appropriate emblem choice by American pioneers. Whoever this guy/writer is pray or fast (like Teleni) for some god given wisdom. Have a pleasant Sunday

Media report a waste of time and effort
Last updated 3/2/2008 8:47:31 AM
The report compiled by Dr James Anthony on “Freedom and Independence of the Media in Fiji” for the Fiji Human Rights Commission is one-sided and ill-researched.
He strongly criticises the media in the country without much substance and reason.
The report was compiled after the interview of only 61 people in a period of two weeks.
Fiji Sun publisher Russell Hunter brands the Anthony Report as “hearsay, distortion and plain untruth, all interfaced with a common thread of racism.”
“This racist document has no place in any human right environment. It is a disgrace to a body like the FHRC that claims to support human rights. It should be withdrawn,” he said.
Fiji Television chief executive Mesake Nawari says it is “so surreally ludicrous, blatantly untrue, unfounded, one-sided, ill-researched and compromised that it can be labeled a sensationalised piece of fiction, conjured up by minds hell bent on pushing their own agendas, particularly the introduction of legislation – in whatever form – to control the media in Fiji.”
“It s clear from the report that the FHRC and in turn its director, is now meddling into media affairs so as to promote its own power, authority and grip over Fiji society,’’ he said.
“Instead of empowering the Fiji media and working closely with it to advance the rights of Fiji citizens, the FHRC (in the same vein as all political parties and leaders that have been in the helm of power) is now pushing for controls that will weaken and severely dilute the rights of individuals and the media as enshrined in the constitution.”
Fiji Times publisher Evan Hannah says it is a “defamatory document, it is racist and it has not formally addressed any of the term of reference”.
“The report’s content and conclusions point more to a search for justification for strongly-held prejudices than an open inquiry,” he said.
Let’s look at first why the inquiry was called in the first place. What is the real intention behind this report?
The release of the report is timed with the outburst by interim Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama against the media and the deportation of the Fiji Sun publisher Russell Hunter.
Mr Hunter was declared a prohibited immigrant this week for reasons only known to the Government.
They claim he is a threat to the national security but he says he’s harmless.
Anthony in his report criticises the media left right and centre but never suggests ways to improve or lift its standard.
It is now clear that the report sponsored by the FHRC will now be handed over to the interim government with the sole objective of turning it into legislation to weaken the media.
In short, a media solely controlled by the State.
The regime wants the media to be on its side and report only what it wants reported. The media however is determined as always to see the truth reaching its readers.
The constitution provides for media freedom and moves to muzzle it will be a breach of the supreme law of the country.
Media freedom is important not only for those working in the media and its institutions but also for society. Free expression is the mother of all freedoms.
It is the media that gives meaning and substance to the fundamental right to freedom of expression as spelt out in Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It said “Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.”
All political parties in this country, without exception, declare their highest commitment to protecting and promoting these freedoms. However, while in opposition they faithfully adhere to their commitments.
They begin to love media freedom so much that they vow even to lay down their lives for protecting this freedom. But once ensconced in state power they begin to develop disenchantment with the media conduct.
This antipathy increases as media begin to highlight weaknesses and the failure of ruling parties to redeem their election pledges.
This is exactly what happened after the coup.
While the military commander says that action of the military is constitutional as they used the Doctrine of Necessity, all media outlets are not convinced.
Most maintain today and rightly too that the act remains illegal until a court rules otherwise.
Overall the media has been very balanced in their report of the military coup.
However, those in power want things reported their way.
Surely this cannot be the balanced reporting as highlighted in the Anthony Report.
The report went on to criticise the Media Council after hearing submissions.
This is again is not fair and the council will make a statement after its meeting this week
It will be interesting to know who the 61 people who made submissions.
Like any other report, the names should be included to give credibility.
However, in this report people supplying Anthony with information were referred to only as informants.
Why their names have not been disclosed is totally against the principle of transparency, something this regime and the author of the report, and its sponsor, have been harping about forever.
They say something and do something else.
Surely something is amiss in the affairs of the State.

Pity though, he isnt like his older brother, Aisake Mataikabara, himself a former RSMS, and whose English was excellent; he wrote it just as well as he spoke it. AM was one senior military officer who made his untimely exit from QEB when (I think) vore assumed command.
Give the Comish a break good ppl – he is trying!
There, I can be nice too, eh? IB – I hope I have structured my comments to yr liking; i.e. nouns and verbs in place? Sa dri yani!

D-D-Driti’s amusing effort actually says a lot about the RFMF too, and unless he’s a total hypocrite, his stance on postings to Iraq – unless of course he doesn’t mind being a prostitute.
Hark at Driti and the reference to sovereignty!
If one is to lecture the US on trashing the sovereignty of others (rightly or wrongly), then they should be mindful of a self elected un-representative “force” trashing the sovereignty and self determination of the territory he calls home.
Fair suck of the sav Pita! Oops, sorry, I forgot you are in fact a total hypocrite and no amount of creative touchy feely bullshit will convinve people you’re anything but the opportunist thug you are.

All we really want is for the ignorant voreqe to disappear into the biggest sewer & to find out who else is profiting from this tinpot regime.
I think Alice Tabete may have a jolly good idea & I hope she spills the beans. Come on Alice – blow the whistle now!
March 2, 2008 at 10:20 pm
that silly googoo aiarse is rather quiet, so are the shamelessmimis – are they by chance worried about the IBA & Transparency International – all damned bloody corrupt & should be disbarred asap.
From the Transparency Interational website –
http://www.transparency.org/about_us
Corruption is the abuse of entrusted power for private gain. It hurts everyone whose life, livelihood or happiness depends on the integrity of people in a position of authority.
Corruption has dire global consequences, trapping millions in poverty and misery and breeding social, economic and political unrest.
Corruption is both a cause of poverty, and a barrier to overcoming it. It is one of the most serious obstacles to reducing poverty.
Corruption denies poor people the basic means of survival, forcing them to spend more of their income on bribes. Human rights are denied where corruption is rife, because a fair trial comes with a hefty price tag where courts are corrupted.
Corruption undermines democracy and the rule of law.
Corruption distorts national and international trade.
Corruption jeopardises sound governance and ethics in the private sector.
Corruption threatens domestic and international security and the sustainability of natural resources.
Those with less power are particularly disadvantaged in corrupt systems, which typically reinforce gender discrimination.
Corruption compounds political exclusion: if votes can be bought, there is little incentive to change the system that sustains poverty.
The conclusion – Corruption hurts everyone.

On a different tack (which is really the purpose of this message) how much truth do you think there is to the Nasir Ali allegation that CoP stands against FB and is part of one of the four factions? I agree with you that he was a nice guy, not so sure about now though. Unless one is firmly grounded, most people do change with altitude. Like monkeys, the higher they climb, the clearer one can see their backside.
BTW I thought Col. Mataikabara had passed away. His widow Saipora was DPS at Fijian Affais & Regional Dev last I knew, but we digress.

I really wanted to ask you a question, if I may, regarding something you mentioned about Alice Tabete. Why would she know, over and above anyone else for that matter, about FB’s corrupt ways?
This is because I was under the impression that she is firmly lodged in the Qarase camp, when she was FSC-CEO?
I was realy intrigued by the suggestion that she may also have shady dealings with FB?
As for Piti Driti he is quite popular with the ex-Suva Grammar crowd where he was the ex-students association President and is always very active on their annual get together committees at a fancy hotel on Denarau or the Coral Coast. Like you I wish the Ravouvou Qaqa from Natewa would tell us all the name of his Fiji Times darling or ding-a-ling.
March 3, 2008 at 2:16 pm
Adi Kaila,
If you have something personal against Mrs Tabete this is not the forum to be catty. She has suffered enough thru all this rubbish that the current regime is putting us through and I want to say that her exit came as a result of her direct connections and links with the SDL. They got rid of her because of her traditional and blood ties to Ratu Naiqama, her political association with the Leweniqilas, Tui Namosi, Roko Tui Dreketi and the whole SDL camp. In the last elections she was approached by the National Alliance Party to stand and she refused them. But what I do know for a fact is that – the Mara girls dont like her and hmmmm perhaps that is the real reason !”
March 3, 2008 at 2:20 pm
Island Boy
I’m waiting for the day when Alice Tabete will sue these thugs. The major allegation that she had misappropriated firstly $3M then $43M then $93M of SPG funds is a farce because the Government grant given to the Fiji Sports Council (FSC)was only $18M ! The audited accounts by PWC and Auditor General have been produced. The reality of this fracas is that the Labour camp coveted her job and gave it to that wannabe lawyer junior Chaudhary to use as his base and employ all Labour supporters.
MC Chodo has always attacked her from behind his Parliamentary privilege in 2003 saying that the SPG facilities would not meet the deadline before the Games and again on the eve of the Coup in his last speech in Parliament he was attacking her again on the annual reports of FSC saying that the last one tabled was in 1992 !! Another humugus LIE typical of the LIAR he is together with Rajesh Singh because FSC’s last Annual report was in 2005 !!!

Hang on a minute – I stated that I think Alice Tabete may know some things about this tinpot ig & the people actually pulling the strings – so don’t go saying that I may have a personal agenda against Alice or was being catty – wilika vaka vinaka na ka au vola – THANK YOU VERY MUCH ANON. I am in fact hoping that if Alice does Know anything to reveal the truth & we can get this shit over & done with.
Alice Tabete has always worked successfully & I do know that Koila Mara & her sisters have always resented her success – right from their teenage years. Alice has always moved in the same circle – her father & uncles were ministers in Ratu Maras Government – so she has a lot of inside knowledge of what goes on with people in government – more than most people would think.
I hope she can & I think she is doing this now, preparing to fight back – she can name names believe me.
Because of this she could be a real threat to the ig & the punka wallahs.
Haven’t you noticed that it is the successful Fijians who are being targeted & threatened by the tinpot regime – Why the hell are they doing this – making up insidious allegations against people who have built up wealth & prestige on their own initiative.

Hear, Hear Adi Kaila!
Yes, this coup is definitely about targeting those Indigenous that achieve above and beyond…..tis a pity, coz whilst we’re on the topic of those Mara siblings….they were given the earth, the moon and the stars…..but alas, chose not to use it (or just lacked the brain power), and were constantly riding off their parents fame and glory…..and sadly, now that that’s gone, they’ve jumped ship; and now seek redemption on the wave of opportunist despots, like the current fools running the country!!! However, do not despair…..word on the vine is that Mrs T just maybe preparing her comeback in solitude, where she can think without having these people intimidate and abuse her inherent human rights……so watch this space for things to happen…..

Officers can use reasonable force: Teleni
Tuesday, March 04, 2008
Police commissioner says police officers can use appropriate force to arrest suspects
POLICE officers can use reasonable force when dealing with suspects who resist arrest, says Police Commissioner Esala Teleni.
HE SAID THIS WAS BECAUSE POLICE OFFICERS WERE NOT ARMED AND NEEDED TO PROTECT THEMSELVES BY USING REASONABLE FORCE, IF THE SUSPECTS WERE ARMED.
“Police are not armed but a lot of suspects are and for my officers’ own safety, I will allow them to use reasonable force to protect themselves,” Mr Teleni said.
“I’m not trying to make this an excuse but suspects are armed with cane knives, forks and crowbars while police officers are not so they need to protect themselves also.
Mr Teleni said the case at Nasese highlighted a few weeks ago, the two suspects were armed with cane knives.
“So police had to use appropriate force to be able to arrest them and I will support that even for any other case because police officers’ lives are also at risk.
HOWEVER, MR TELENI REITERATED THAT HE DID NOT CONDONE THE SUSPECT AND VICTIM BRUTALLY BATTERED BUT REASONABLE FORCE BE USED TO CONTROL THE SUSPECT AND ENABLE EASY ARREST BY POLICE.
“But I will support the officers when it comes to looking after their own safety especially when unarmed.

Well I was surprised that Alice may have been implicated with the IG crowd, which is really why I asked, but it seems that even an innocent question brings a flurry of angry reponses, instead of just even tempered discussion.
As for LUVfiji kei Dauvavana, o rau na nodaru Naita, ke rau mani viri vatu mai, kedaru qai tiko ga yani. Au sa bolei rau ruarua me kitou lai kilu mada e Mataisuva. Qai mai daru mai tovata de rau qai convoy taki au. Meu lucky!!!! Au sa kanaka

@Na Ravouvou qaqa mai Natewa – Spoke with media friends last night about something totally different and someone mentioned the little Flight Attendant from Fiji Times regularly flies on Singapore Airlines. Apparently Papa Delta is not the captain in command of that aircraft. Not that its important, you may just want post under file and forget.

As much as we would love for all things to go back (including meself) to the usual; I can’t help saying that all this winge-ing has to stop. Circumstance sees us where now? What can we do? If we voice it out loud we get droped to the corner…rights or no rights, we’re where we are right now and blaming, pointing fingers won’t change it. If I could possibly qoute from the Holy book, the Bible in saying that everything works to his will and his plan and doing. Regardless what or whoever has power now, whatever will be repaid will be repaid in the Lord’s timing and perfect way. Buth then again, no harm for everyone to express ones view…so carry on…laters
