State to Sell Off Radio Fiji

October 31, 2007

images4.jpg

As reported by Fiji Times on line this morning.

Solivakasama says:

  1. This blerry bunch of ulukaus are again showing how desperate they are in seeking ways to generate revenue as the income stream dries up. First it was take over LTA income and incorporate budget back to Ministry of Transport, then recover $$$ from overpaid members of the lowest paid workers in Government – the unestablish, now its sell off one of the jewels in the State Owned Enterprise crowns
  2. Keep an eye out that these clowns don’t have a stake in one of the entities making a bid for FBCL. Yavala mada na spy, ragone!!
  3.  What’s going to happen to Radio Fiji 1 and Radio Fiji 2 radio stations? These two station serve a specific social obligation in terms of generating information to the general public particularly the rural areas and Radio School Programs and does not just serve the commercial needs of large companies like Bula FM, Radio Mirchi, and 2Day FM
  4.  Australia still have the ABC state owned. New Zealand has got Radio New Zealand and Britain has got the BBC all preserved and recognised as a government essential service to the public
  5. This government is just an illegal INTERIM Government, why are they behaving and sounding like elected governments that would have included this issues of national interest in an election manifesto to be voted on by the people
  6. If they want to sell of state assets, then get rid of the unprofitable ones like Food Processors Fiji Limited, Rewa Rice, PWD workshop, Government Suppliers etc.
  7. Or better still, get rid of the Military all together and establish 5 acres cassava farm lots and $10,000 garnts to re-settle the soldiers in unused ALTA cane fields. Fiji cannot even sustain its domestic cassava needs as proven by the need for Punja’s to import cassava from Indonesia to manufacture cassava chips. Even if we have surplus cassava, there is a ready market in China and Japan for cassava starch that the world’s largest producers such as Thailand, Indonesia, Philipines and Vietnam cannot sustain.
  8.  Sell the guns and weapons to countries like Tonga that wants to be macho and keep just 500 for a re-establish Police Rapid Response Team.

Jimi, na gauna oqo mo sa tekivu promote taki volitaki tavioka sara tikoga kina mai Jaina me yaga nomu lako!!!

The Arrogance of the Illegal Pig

October 31, 2007

No-one has done more to prove what an arrogant pig our Illegal PM
is than the Pig himself, iVore.

He told Fijilive reporters asking him legitimate questions about the
handling of the Rabaka case:

“You don’t know anything about the independence of the judiciary, you
don’t know anything about it so don’t ask me any question about it.”

This is the arrogance of a dictator. No elected politician could ever
utter words such as this.

The Pig also said the breakdown in communication between the DPP and the
Fiji Police Force was none of his concern.

“I don’t know anything about that because the DPP should be the one to
answer your question.”

It is clear that he doesn’t have the slightest notion of accountability for
any of his actions or the actions of men under him. When he uses words
like ‘transparency’ and ‘governance’ it is clear that these are just
sounds he’s learned to make. He hasn’t any idea what they mean.

The day will come, however, when he will find just what these words mean.
When democracy and the rule of taw are restored he will face
accountability, justice and prison.

Beranaliva

and then Ro Filipe Tuisawau said today on fijitimes online:

A REWA chief has hit out at interim Prime Minister Commander Voreqe Bainimarama’s comments that the ‘church sows racial hate’.

In his comments on the issue Commander Bainimarama dragged in the vanua and Fijian chiefs saying Fijians live in a democracy with a mentality that belongs to the Fijian chiefly system.

But Ro Filipe Tuisawau said the comments were inciteful and would burn whatever bridges are left between the Fijian chiefs, the lotu (church) and the vanua.

”We are just plain sick and tired of his childish and immature comments which shows that he is not national leadership material,” the Rewa chief said.

”The words of a leader must heal and build bridges but this leader destroys and hurts with his words and actions. We can only pray that this nightmare ends soon,” Ro Filipe said.

Commander Bainimarama told an Australian newspaper that the church was also part of a conspiracy of power against ordinary Fijians.

And who said chiefly leadership is irrelevant today. Here is a young Chief growing with manna and dignity by the day. Vinaka na qaqa Ro Filipe!

Col Ului Mara, $10,000

Lt Colonal Mosese Tikoitoga, $3000

Capt Francis Kean,$15,000, Capt Mason Smith $2000, Major Leweni, $2500, Maj Pio Tikoduadua, $4000.The balance of $4500 were advances to two naval warrant officers and three army sergeant, recorded only as “Internal operatives” No.1,2,3 and 4 to the sum of $900 each.

Close to $290,000 has been drawn but remains unaccounted and unrecorded!

On proper accounting procedures, these per diem allowances and advances were inappropriately approved by the commander instead of the chief accountant as required under Finance Instructions 207 for details of payments.

And on the weekend the Commander was preaching about practicing good governance. Using is own analogy, we say “whose good governance, yours or mine?” We’ll now we’ve seen your version of governance, no thanks you blerry fool!
This was a clean up to clean out the SDL Government, instead it is now becoming clearer that it was activated to ensure that this damning Auditor General’s Report against the Military never saw the light of day.As you can see, the officers making the most noises have now turned out to be the ones implicated in this report. We do not see any Baledrokadroka, Kadavulevu, Buadromo, Tuatoko, Tarakinikini or Raduva (ones pushed out unceremoniously by the Pig) in these reports. Just the crooks that has been making the loudest noise!

And fellow citizens, this is just the tip of the ice berg. Remember, the RFMF still has not allowed Vatuloka and his staff to audit the Regimental Fund even after court orders have been obtained.

The audit so far has also been conducted under extreme duress and auditors have to fught tooth and nail to get any information from the Military. There is still heaps of work to be done to complete the audit. And we are talking about pre 5/12. Imagine the mess after 5/12!!!

Auditor Generals Report: Shocking! Personal travel by the Pig & his Wife paid for by you and me

October 29, 2007

bainimarama.jpg

Other travel details provided without receipts included at least $75,000 worth of airfares, hotel accommodation and meals for the Commander and his wife on a personal visit to NZ to visit family members. This amount also included trips to Iraq via up to three weeks of stopovers in New York, London, Paris, Tel Aviv and Honolulu.

He wanted to clean up the SDL Coalition government but only unearth dirt about himself. This Pig is the mother of all hypocrites.

Idi Amin is a saint compared to this prick!

Military Budget Allocation used for National Alliance Campaign

October 29, 2007

ganilau.jpg

Eveli & Teca’s Trips to Australia paid for by RFMF. Actually by you and me, the taxpayer!

The audit noted the military used its Telesat Project fund of $500,000 to buy goods and services that were not related to the project and it included:
The payment of rugby gear and travel expenses for the RFMF rugby team; and,
$150,000 worth of expenses for the Truth and Justice Campaign of which details of only $55,467 were provided, including details of airfares to Taveuni for a former Commander and wife (Eveli & Ateca Butabutako) on three occasions and one to Australia including domestic travel and accommodation. This suggests that the campaign was practically the spearhead for the failed election campaign of the National Alliance Party,

It was not enough what they did to the Regimental Fund while in the Military. De mataivalu nei Ta!

Mosese Tikoitoga owed $8,384 in rental arrears

Moreover, concerns were raised on the outstanding quarters deductions since some of the officers occupying government quarters were not paying any rent. The officers who had outstanding arrears include Lt-Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga with $8,384.84, Major Sanaila Seru with $3306.39, Major Wakanivugahali Naivalu with $1053.84, Captain Anirudh Singh with $3153.72 and Colonel Esala Teleni with $23,922.92.According to the Government rentals policy for officers, they are required to pay rent at the rate of 8 per cent of basic salary, with maximum limits of rent every year for different grades that include $1600 for special grade, $1400 for Grades I and II, $1200 for grade three, $1000 for grade 4, $720 for grade 5 and $480 for grade 6 and below.According to the report, the military had not provided in writing the actions it would take on these officers and some of these officers were unwilling to pay these rents through salary deductions.
It recommended that action should be taken to recover rent and arrears from these officers and the military should ensure that General Orders 607 was compiled with.

Explosive - Auditor General Report on the RFMF

October 28, 2007

From the Auditor General’s Report on the 2005 Accounts regarding Salary & COLA.
ARMY commander, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama was not entitled to any Cost of Living Adjustment payment, the 2005 Auditor-General’s report (Oct, 2006) shows.

The commander received $2554.74 in COLA payment, viewed as a salary overpayment, because he was on a fixed salary scale and not entitled to any COLA pay out.

The report released yesterday said Commodore Bainimarama was not entitled to the pay out as stipulated in the Public Service Commission circular 51 of 2005.

It said there were a high number of incorrect payments of salaries in the 3 per cent COLA payout in 2004 to officers and lower rank soldiers in the military.

“Cabinet, at its meeting on December 6, 2005, agreed to a 3 per cent COLA payout to civil servants and government wage employees and that this payment, together with the 2 per cent one-off made in December, 2004. The COLA payment for 2004 only would be made to all eligible civil servants on Pay 26 of 2005, which will be payable on December 22,” the report said.

“The salary payments for Pay 26 of 2005 with regards to the 3 per cent COLA revealed that most of the officers of the RFMF were overpaid. The officers were paid 732 days (2 years) instead of the approved 366 days (1 year) back pay,” it stated.

It said most of the senior officers were overpaid by more than $400 and this included officers of the ranks of Lieutenant, Captain and Lt.Colonels.
The military commented that a restrictive of the pay office staff had been implemented and efforts would be made to make sure incorrect payments were erased completely.

The auditor’s office recommended the military should review the incorrect payments and recover the overpayments from all the officers concerned.
It said supervisory control should be improved to ensure all salary payments were correct in all aspects.

Interim A-G: I was wrong

October 28, 2007

Friday, October 26, 2007

INTERIM Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum yesterday apologised to the President, Ratu Josefa Iloilo, and former Senator Adi Koila Nailatikau for his oversight in appointing the latter as chairwoman of the Constituency Boundaries Commission.

“This is an anomaly of my making,” said Mr Sayed-Khaiyum yesterday. I accept that…”The headline in itself was quite derogatory in The Fiji Times but again that’s something you’ve got to live with, but again actions speak louder than words and we are not here to try to win any political points.

“I’m sure all of you have made mistakes in your life. The question is whether we are willing to admit it, whether you’re man or woman enough to admit it.”

“I regret this oversight and regret that such a mistake was made. The provisions of the Constitution will always be adhered to,” he said.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said the President and interim Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama had no knowledge the appointment breached the Constitution.

This piece from Fiji Times sums it all and tells anyone everything, Senator Adi Koila must have been approached and accepted the position before it was formally announced.  They only changed their tune after the Fiji Times point it out to them…wait the best part of it when he tries to explain himself, check out the bold type.

Yes Interim A-G your actions speak (and that of IG) louder than words, whether you’re women/man enough to admit that you’re wrong and should give up your position as interim A-G or are you only selective in your view like a horse with blinkers.

The last point… yes the President and Interim PM had no knowledge of anything at all they are just puppets and we have countless proofs of goofs and gaffs of this every time the Interim PM opens his mouth.
