Jone Dakuvula want’s his name off the shamelist

The shamelist blog owner has just emailed me this email from Jone Dakuvula of CCF. He or she (can’t really tell from email) has asked that the public be the judge.

Should Jone Dakuvula and Whisky Yabaki’s name remain on the shamelist or not?

It has just been brought to my attention that you have had on your list “Fiji Coup Name and Shame List” my name and Rev. Akuila Yabaki of CCF since April. It is alleged by this “blogger” that we are amongst those who have either plotted the military coup of December 5th 2006 or have been beneficiaries or supporters of the coup. The blogger provides no evidence to support this allegation of “quiet supporter” (Rev. Yabaki) or me as a “hyprocrite”, for what?

The blogger needs to know that we had publicly opposed the coup before it happened. When it did happen and after it had happened. We did all we could to try and stop the coup, including bringing eminent skilled negotiators from overseas to offer mediation to the RFMF Command and PM Qarase’s office. This can be verified by Joji Kotobalavu and Esala Teleni for example. So how can we be supporters of the coup when we had tried more than anybody else in this country to help prevent it, but to no avail. What was this blogger doing at that time? We are still trying now (in fact all this year) to help resolve this crisis publicly and behind the scenes through communication with all parties. We are therefore too busy taking constructive actions to  be looking up and responding to blog sites of people who have nothing positive to do but defame and publish venemous and hate filled, (often false) statements about other people. If this blogger has any decency he will take Akuila and my name off his list because the accusation is a continuing defamation and as a figment of his own spiteful imagination. We have better things to do then wonder about the motivation of cowards like you.

Oh and let’s put something into perspective, Jone Dakuvula was private secretary to Siti Rabuka as PM. Straight after Rabuka lost election in 1999, Jone became Chodo’s close aid. Then after Chodo’s downfall post 2000, he’s straight into CCF.

And something else, we think CCF’s stand against coup 5/12 are not as loud as you were against the democratically elected Govt. of SDL and your silence on Shysters weird stand and blatant abuse of FHRC’s resources  are deafening.
